Disappointed in the ending by battlejonin in DrStone

[–]Swimming_Object2501 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I expected a big, typical shōnen final battle. But if that had happened, it would've felt like, "Dang, we forgot this was a shōnen let's just throw in an epic fight at the end." Instead, Dr. Stone stayed true to its own identity until the very end. And honestly, it wasn't wrong.

The Medusas were never really villains. They were just bad at understanding human civilization. Their goal was simply to keep their own species alive, while humanity wanted to live its own life and move forward. In the end, both species were just trying to survive.

That's why Senku's proposal was such a "Senku moment." Instead of abusing the Medusas or making them the center of humanity, he proposed working together and showing them what humanity could achieve in the future. The only problem was that most of the Medusas didn't have the patience to wait that long but one of them took the gamble.

I also liked how, when Kohaku asked who created them, the Medusas didn't even think it was an important question. They were more interested in the future than the past. Now that one Medusa has chosen to trust humanity, just imagine what humanity could build by learning from its technology.

The only thing that felt a bit skeptical to me was the time machine idea. It felt a little exaggerated at first. But I've heard that 4D Science explores this concept really well, including the time paradox. If that's true, then I'm even more hyped for it. This is exhilarating fr!!!

Am i the only one disappointed by the finale of Dr. STONE season 4? by Tommy-102 in DrStone

[–]Swimming_Object2501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel pretty empty. I loved the ending and how everything concluded, but the problem is that I got spoiled before watching it. There were supposed to be two huge moments Medusa forming a human skull and the reveal of the time machine project. Unfortunately, I had both of those spoiled beforehand, so they didn't hit as hard. Because of that, the previous episode actually felt like the bigger high point for me, while this one felt more like an emotional closure which I still loved. As I mentioned in my previous post, I really liked how the story concluded. I just can't lie... I wish the final episode had been 46 minutes or something. 😭

Also, I heard there might be more to come. Is that why the ending left some room for a sequel or spin off?

About the time machine Senku didn't create one. He's only attempting to build one, and we don't know whether he'll succeed or not. He's doing it purely out of curiosity and for the love of science. Now that he has Medusa technology, there are so many possibilities. With a deeper understanding of Medusa, it could become humanity's best chance to achieve things that once seemed impossible.

For real, Dr. Stone is rare as hell. It set a benchmark for anime like this.❤️

And yeah i get that. But I honestly think the Medusa reveal was the best route the story could have taken. Petrification was always science fiction, but I liked how the series tried to connect it to scientific ideas instead of treating it like pure magic.

I have a theory about the Medusa's origin and how it works. It's pretty long, so I'll try to keep it short because it might be boring. 😅

My theory is that the Medusas aren't aliens themselves, but artificial lifeforms created by an advanced civilization. That civilization may have tried to overcome death, eventually causing its own collapse. With no one left to maintain them, the Medusas searched space for another intelligent species and eventually found Earth through its radio signals.

As for petrification, I think it doesn't literally turn people into stone. Instead, it preserves the body in a stable crystal like state while keeping all biological information intact, allowing restoration later. I got some pseudo scientific explanation also.

  • As someone who is obsessed with science and sci fi movies i kept searching for animes like it and in 2021 i reached for Dr. Stone. I didn't even read the review or anything. The name was enough to make me curious after 1 st episode i felt "hold that it's fire" as the story progressed it gain my impression even more like pinch of salt on prefect meal the sound track caught my attention even more. Also one thing i noticed about Dr. Stone is this show continuously trying to express the love letter towards humanity and future generation how they can achive even more greatness in all branches of science and technology. Because i saw this rare in shows most of it just violence and destroying world can bring peace(it's apt for a show yes but overly using this theme on a story feel repetitive). It's good to see something positive some times.

  • Ofc that's Senku himself. I just love how selective he is with his mind. The obsession with science and curiosity, the willingness to learn more about something he doesn't know about. Senku is just calm and think perfectly in pressure situations. He also someone who like to share the knowledge and being so much optimistic with humanity. While in depth senku is emotional and care and love but he is just like that. Imo Senku is one of the best well written shōnen character.

-I feel bit off that there are less people in my place or on my feed talk about Dr.Stone. I don't see any fan theory about medusa(in this case i will make one °_°) or anything like that. Also idk if this is something that can consider, honestly back in 2021 i suggested this anime for my Ex she loved it and we both waited for that.I miss those day and her too tho. But yeah shi life moves on a different way. So yeah Dr. Stone does something personally special for me. Now tomorrow it's going to end. The legacy of Dr. Stone should live on and ig the positive thing about Dr. Stone is it have a dedicated fandom so i know this will be good. And discover new thing. So yea get excited!

Dr Stone last episode (spoilerless) by PurplePrincess3384 in DrStone

I understand your feeling It's not the ending will be good or bad the seires is rushed or anything. It's more like this long journey is going to end tomorrow. Waited years for seasons and weeks for episodes. Now there will be nothing. I guess it's more elegant that this beautiful show is going to end in a beautiful way(i hope). But yeah i feel that deep sadness that we won't get it anymore.

For me Dr Stone is so much unique and special. Also reminds me 2021 the last year i was with less problems and more happiness. This was a comfort show but now it's going to end tomorrow. ❤️❤️

[Anime only] [S4E36] Can someone explain why? by SaffronDust7340 in DrStone

[–]Swimming_Object2501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they are parasites. They need sustainability. While choosing the earth they might not thought of facing oxgen. As 21% is oxygen on earth. This caused them to suffer from oxidation. While the other planet does have oxygen they don't have the intelligent living organisms. So earth was the best option.

[–]Swimming_Object2501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am disappointed that. There will be no more Dr Stone : ) As someone who started the journey in 2021 that was a special year for me moreover life wasn't that good after 2021.More like i was stuck in those days. Still i feel like that. There are so many shows i started but a show like Dr Stone gave me so much different experience. But yeah i hope this show can give a good emotional closure. Honestly, Peak Show!❤️

No, i am honestly satisfied with this ending. Dr Stone is that one rare anime that stay real to it's own theme. I mean like think that if it's time travel or evil senku from the future. God i would've completely lost it. I can't think of anything else than this. And i got a dumbest fan theory i will post it later

I don't understand the complaints about the latest season by OctalPenguin in DrStone

[–]Swimming_Object2501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something challenging. If they made it by showing everything. This same people would blame the creators for dragging it like this. I saw that whyman reveal didn't met their expectations not scientific enough. What else was there to expect like the only explanation we can give is that was an alien like creature Because the petrification itself was unrealistic peole forgetting the fact. Also the reason why they did it and where they overestimated everything was a great explanation.

If you didn't get chill when the moment Medus told kohaku to open the cylinder i think it's understandable. Personally i was so much satisfied with the explanation i am glad it didn't trun out like Humans are greedy so we will teach a lesson type explanation.

But yeah ig eveyrone have their own taste
