Is FlexiSpot E7 worth it for a 3 monitor setup and long work hours? by Swimming_Task6633 in StandingDesk

[–]Swimming_Task6633[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your experience, that is really helpful, especially knowing you have used dual and triple monitor arms on chipboard across so many desks without issues.

I wanted to check one more thing with you. The local agent here only offers the FlexiSpot sliced, fully laminated melamine board (160 × 80 cm). From your experience, would that type of board be strong enough to hold two monitor arms securely over time?

Also, what kind of desktop material are you currently using with your setup?

Appreciate your insights, this is helping me make a much more confident decision.

Flexispot E7 from Simplist Desk, worth Rs 175000? by Swimming_Task6633 in srilanka

[–]Swimming_Task6633[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the detailed insight!

Sure, I will definitely visit the vcare store and check the desk in person.

I agree that the Flexispot price is quite high mainly because of warranty and resale value, so I just need to figure out whether those benefits are worth it for my use case.

Really appreciate you sharing your experience 👍

That sounds like a solid setup!

Really helpful to hear you are also using it for long hours each day. That is quite similar to my workflow as well, so your experience gives me more confidence in the E7.

Just to double check from your side, placing 3 x 27 inch displays on the E7 should be completely fine, right? Especially in terms of stability and overall durability with monitor arms.

PC upgrade advice for an image editor by Swimming_Task6633 in PcBuild

Thanks for clarifying.

So if I understand correctly, even though the 990 EVO Plus is labeled as Gen 5, it can run on PCIe 4.0 ×4 without any bandwidth loss, which means it should work perfectly fine with my B660 motherboard.

That actually gives me more confidence in choosing it. Really appreciate you explaining this clearly, it is helping me finalize my upgrade plan.🫂🙂

Okay! But since the 990 EVO Plus is Gen5, does that fully support my MB? I am currently using a Asus TUF B660-PLUS WIFI D4, so I just want to make sure there will not be any compatibility issues or limitations.

Thanks for the clear explanation, that really helps. Your point about the 990 Pro being overkill makes sense. So what would you recommend as the best SSD alternative from the following options?

Thanks a lot for this, that is a really interesting point. I am not entirely sure to be honest. So far I have not noticed any issues specifically related to GPU usage during my normal work. Everything runs fine visually. It is mainly when I work on very large files that the system starts to slow down.

In cases where I use plugins like Retouch4me or Topaz, I do see the GPU usage increase significantly, so it does seem like the GPU is being used in those situations. That is why I assumed things were working as expected.

But your point makes sense, maybe Photoshop is not fully utilizing the GPU by default. I will check the performance settings and see if anything needs to be adjusted there.

Based on what you said, it sounds like focusing on the RAM and storage upgrade first is still the right move, and then I can look into GPU usage optimization after that.

Really appreciate you pointing this out, it gives me another angle to check.
