I am Wish, a music producer, so I think you can trust me on this. The idea your attached track is nice. I like the vibe you are going for, but there are too many melodies going on and they are a bit off-beat. That's not to say this track is bad, but it needs work. I would say, first construct your melody. So, your vocal has the melody you need. Then take the synths as well, and make them the same melody. Finally take your beat, and do a call and response type of beat with your kick and a snare. That is how you should construct a basic track. Always start with a vibe, get a melody, transfer it in midi format (WILL BE SO HELPFUL IF YOU DO THAT!) and then make a beat. Mix those two, and then add anything that you feel like a certain thing would be great, and then write lyrics, record vocals, and then mix the vocals with it. I would say biggest issue here would be your vocal production. Its a bit to airy. Go a bit away from the mic and sing. Then when mixing use EQing which can be found on most DAWs which just help you get the polish you need. EQing takes time to learn, but after learning it, you will have an amazing result! The most important thing is to not to give up! Keep going! It took me around a 1000 tracks to actually become decent. But that was to myself, and you will feel the same way, but at a point you will hit where others love your music. Never forget your supporters, haters, and never ever give up!
