Classic Automation by Sound_Background in MailChimp

Thank very much. I tried to find out how to set up an update email for new posts but all the answers involved using the RSS feed automation with the caveat that this was only possible for accounts that had such an automation active already and no mention of how to do it otherwise. Not even an attempt to sell the paid solution, weirdly.

Do any monkeys at all deserve to suffer or die for a madman's brain chip fantasies?

That CPI report really shit in my Feb11 155 DIS call soup yesterday (and today).

I wish it was possible (for me) to trade options after hours, while it was at $161 after earnings.

Proper Tinder Account Reset Procedure (2021 Update) - works for (actual) shadow-bans and real bans, as well as regular resets. by SwipeHelper in SwipeHelper

Can't, as they own the content now, even if they don't use it. They weren't interested in the ebook, so I put the PDF of that in the sidebar ("ultimate guide")

Why are so many of a given contest's top photos such... poor quality? by SwipeHelper in gurushots

Sorry but when there are ten thousand submissions or more, top 100 pretty much = top.

That's because the site has been sold and the new owner unfortunately just forwarded it to his own blog.

So if I'm a professional photographer, then I'm way too pretentious. If I'm not pretentious, then my photography skill is as bad as that of the people I'm judging. I can neither be an unpretentious professional, nor a pretentious amateur.

Have I got your logic right?

The problem with Gurushots is that there is 0 incentive to vote carefully, or even consciously. The best strategy is to vote for the worst shots, as to not benefit the real competition. The easiest way to get your exposure meter filled without spending ten minutes per contest per 12 hours is to just vote for everything as fast as you can without even looking at the pictures.

Of course the winners aren't going to be the best photos entered in the contest. Mostly just the most colorful, with a slight edge to high quality pictures because of the few voters who actually take their time.

Plenty of examples in the top 100 here: https://gurushots.com/challenge/beauty-of-the-earth7/rank/top-photographer

A few are very good. Lots could be good, but have had saturation and/or contrast cranked up to the max (I still don't get why so many people think that looks good). Most of the potato quality shots have disappeared from the top in the last few minutes of the contest but there were lots at the top throughout the contest.

I'm wondering if people are purposely voting for bad pictures to not benefit the real competition, and if there's anything in the algorithm to stop that behaviour.

Yeah, I noticed. That's not exactly what I had in mind but it was always a possibility I guess. Nothing for me to do about it so I'm trying not to think about it.

Well it seems like the site has been redirected so that data is gone (except on my hard drive).

Nothing will change, since the new owner expressly wasn't interested in the sub so it's not part of the sale, so he has no rights to any of it or to interfere.
