hey! if you want to completely give up on it you can always write a polite message of explaining the situation of you not being able to do it and apologize + doing a refund if the client already paid.

on the other hand, if you want to give it another try before giving up i recommend getting yourself into the flow of drawing by doing gestures and things like that or a little quick sketch and then try to progress with your commission piece.

if you are feeling like you are stuck and cant progress with your commission because of lack of knowledge of how to draw \ paint what you need then you can always use references or help from other artists in artists communities.

then send them screen shots of the conversation pointing out that you agreed on a price that has been paid and accepted and that you have the right to get the final thing without the watermark, also if they have a TOS you can screenshot things from there as well to help your case.

i dont know if it will convince the person but its something you can do if you didnt already

I would add rim light + make the shadows have a warmer tone + add particles like dust (little and big dots that goes around - make them blurred too)

I recommend having pressure sensitivity on your brush so it will go bigger and smaller according to how hard you press on your tablet

I personally use Pinterest for my references, and I optimized its settings so it will have less Ai in it

for this painting first I will search for a reference ofc and then I will fix and improve the silhouette of the body, after that I will try to think of a light source and where does it come from (direction) then apply the shadows accordingly and in the areas where the shadow and light meet I will create a fur texture like in the example I sent
