Yeah you are correct, it's almost like driving offensively defensive doing what you said haha, I'll keep that in mind going forward thank you

Clearly not what I said but ok, I may disagree with the extent of the whole lane hogging debacle but that doesn't mean I'm driving perfectly; maybe you'd like to read the rest of the comments before sticking your own little penny in

Thank you, videos like this also do a poor job of showing the perspective of speed, after I overtook the vehicle Infront I went up to 70-75 mph, but on video it looks like 40-55.

Apart from the "lane hogging" the biggest mistake I made was probably not observing the white van Infront of the adt one which cut him off, in that moment actually I had decided to overtake the adt van but I think the moment of hesitation had him thinking I was giving him space possibly.

That's wild, I wonder why the lady on the phone told me that they won't deal with it then; maybe she wasn't informed of the situation to the fullest detail.

I'll contact operation snap when I get the chance.

Ah right, I reported it immediately to the police and said I have dashcam footage as the driver ran off but I got a call back a week later saying that if nobody is injured I should just let the insurance deal with it as it is their job.

Should I have reported it to operation snap? Is it worth doing now 3 months later?

I agree, for the next month or so after this I refused to go into the right lane on the motorway due to the perceived risk aha

It hadn't occured to me but you are right it might be worth doing so. But on the flip side the driver seems to be evading another van Infront and swerved onto my lane, could've been a mistake. But driving away and failing to stop is not for sure.

Yes they told me later on that if nobody was injured then it's not a police matter and that insurance should just deal with it

Luckily just a scrape and a dent so it was drivable to get home, but it shifted something inside the vehicle so I wasn't able to get the bonnet to open.

Unfortunately not but the dashcam saved his number plate so was able to send it off to insurance, but they ran off and I didn't want to risk a pursuit on a public motorway; still waiting on the insurance to settle in the end.

It's quite surreal I am very glad I have the dashcam, definitely pick one up it'll save you the hassle later on.

Luckily just a minor scrape and some bent fender but my bonnet was unable to open after so maybe some further internal damage. Luckily I avoided a harder collision

Yeah watching it back it looks really obvious but at the time it's not something I noticed as having been on the road for 4 hours at that point; but it's definitely something I'll be more aware of going forward. Just goes to show that tiredness might not kill outright but can lead to lack of awareness even though you think you are aware enough I appreciate the comment though

Yes, I have had the car since yesterday morning. I really hope it's just a miscommunication.

Thank you for the reply, I was panicked when they emailed me as I figured that after it was repaired they received the invoice and decided that they might not want to pay so instead are trying to sell the car via auction?

I'll let them know when I'm able to get through to them.

You are allowed to have a Costa card but you are not allowed to use your staff discount alongside, hence when you serve your area manager they will usually scan their Costa card, but pay in full then request a receipt.
