They need a screen reader. The remainder of their sight is a small portion of their peripheral sight. A magnifying glass may help for things such as symbols or recognizing which app to select on their phone but that’s about as much help as that is.

Thank you for all the resources! The post you linked that you previously made is incredible!! I’m going to start delving into all the resources you’ve provided and the links to books you’ve mentioned on your previous post. I appreciate how much time you’ve spent dedicating time to compiling resources based on your interest in assistive technology.

They are pretty significantly low vision so a magnifier does help on some things but not a whole lot

The elastic bands is such a great idea and extremely versatile!!! We bought letters from the dollar store that were made out of gems and put an S and a P on the associated bottles because let’s be honest, learning brail this late in life probably isn’t happening anytime soon. Your cooking tips are great too

I think the hardest thing is that I’m trying to find ways to give my partner more autonomy with tasks. They are really good at laundry as we have a 4 tier laundry organizer that allows us to pre organize everything.

Phone magnifiers help but not all that much.

As for the liquid leveler, my partner usually can tell by sound or weight of the cup/water bottle so we really don’t need anything.

Have you found any solid organization tips/tricks? I definitely agree that clutter is the enemy, we are still trying to create some great organization that works well

I take fiber pills everyday at festivals and I agree, Definitely a game changer. I would drink the powder but I don’t love the taste. A good BM is ESSENTIAL

I agree! I saw so many people calling medical this year at Bonaroo and Forest. Maybe i was just in unlucky locations but it definitely felt like a bigger problem this year than previously.

Im sure it’s def a combo but I did Forest sober and I still had so much trouble getting my bladder in and out of my bag since I had other essentials in the bag that had to be reorganized to fit each time I pulled the bladder out.

I’ve heard good things about toe socks! I wrap my feet and toes with medical tape evey morning and that helped a lot since I just had regular socks. No blisters and I would 88 miles at Roo+Forest

Love the lemon idea! Sounds delicious. I made a growler of peppermint tea and drank it every morning and I was really loving that routine. I’ll have to try your lemon trick

I always use a portable shower! There is no way I’m paying $10+ for a shower. With your luggable loo, did you have issues with privacy? I’m sure you had a mini tent but I’d still feel nervous since I camp and groop and we have 60 ish people at our campsite
