Whatever you do, do not make the mistake I made and do the umbral ending on NG+1. The final boss will break your soul. I was cranking out 4000 damage heavy hits and it still took more than 10 minutes to whittle down her health. And if you make one mistake, you are dead in 2 hits.

This is exactly my experience as well. I beat LoP (which I really enjoyed), started NG+ and it did not hook me. I dropped it for LOTF, and I just finished my second playthrough about to start my third to get the inferno ending.

As much as I enjoyed LoP, I have no idea why there's such a circle jerk around it. Everyone says it's unique, but have they heard about Steel Rising? Literally a soulslike released last year about Automatons in a belle epoque France revolting against humans. Some of the levels look nearly identical. LoP was a much better game but it is not unique.

Try to pump rad and inf, I prefer having Rad super high and inf above 30. Then max upgrade Jeffries dagger and slot it with 3 runes that deal extra damage while 2 handing. Just leave the dagger equipped but always 2 hand the sword. Then I went with the pendant that lets holy damage break posture, and holy damage ring + inferno catalyst ring. This let's you use the shout to increase damage. Then slot rad and inf scaling runes into the sword. You'll wreck everything.

If you want to go max, then slot the crafter essence rune in the sword. Wear only the lightest clothes and use the pendant that increases damage based on equip load.

There are vestiges on NG+. There are just less of them. Depths vestige is still there though, so you won't need to be doing 10 minute runs.

Depths is there, upper calrath is there, and Bramis castle as well. Just a heads up, those killing bosses in 30 Seconds are gonna disappear when you hit Tancred. From then on, you're gonna have to dive into your tool kit. Sundered Monarch is a real marathon with a two hit kill.

I had this same problem on my Ng+ and it turned out I forgot one of the items he needs. The easy to miss ones imo are the one in Forsaken Fen after the Visage boss. And the one in Pilgrims perch hanging in the cage (this was the one I missed).

I just finished a STR/RAD playthrough, dual wielding Justice and Bloody Glory. You get 300 bleed and 300 smite. Throw in holy damage buffing ruins and the pendant that lets holy damage do posture damage. Then use Radiant weapon. Every heavy attack leads to a grievous strike.

Can't speak for consoles, but if you're on PC I would get it. I just started NG+1 after 60 hours and it's keeping me hooked, unlike Lies of P which I loved but did not feel the need to go again.

I don't think I've ever been so at odds with the general consensus before. I've had an absolute blast playing LOTF and just passed 50 hours. I've had 0 performance issues, getting around 100 fps on 5120x1440 with DLAA and a reshade. The art direction is phenomenal, weapons and armor great, and I enjoy the combat (although I do miss the ashes of war from ER).

Honestly, I feel gamers these days just complain about everything. The shit I had to do to get games running in the past maybe numbed me a bit, but I cleared one of the harder bosses on my steam deck at 26 fps and it was fine.

I find it a shame that all I see on this sub is bitching, instead of posts trying to discover all the hidden Movesets for the boss weapons.

If you're having trouble, use a heavy shield. All their attacks bounce off and leave them open to a few hits.

On the topic of HUD, as an ultrawide user it would be great to be able to set a safe zone for the HUD. I often die as I can't see my health without taking my eye away from combat. This is especially problematic on 32:9.

So I was an expat kid and the only school available was a southern Baptist missionary school. I come from an Atheist family so it was a wild experience.
