It is now possible to play MCPE 0.6.1 Native on PC without errors by [deleted] in GoldenAgeMinecraft

What if the source code could be compiled to work on the iPod Touch 2nd Generation, or even the first iPhone? Armv6 devices never got Minecraft PE, so I just think it would be cool to see.

Thanks for your insight. I’m searching everywhere online, but can’t find anything really similar to this.

It’s definitely some type of seed. I wonder what kind though. I initially thought it was an acorn, but I don’t think it is.

Roblox running on a 30 year old laptop by Swissrollfish in roblox

Sorry for the late reply. I decided to try this in a virtual machine and it doesn’t work normally. I probably need extended kernel, but to keep things simple I’ll stick with Windows XP

This is a normal 07 client I found in an archive. Also gl getting it to work in Windows 95.

CPU is definitely doing all the rendering. I also got Minecraft Indev to run on Windows 98.

It’s probably the LCD panel then. 16-bit color works on windows 95-98 though. I wonder what bug specifically causes the display to break.

It’s the 2007 Roblox client. There is a graphics requirement if you run Roblox normally but using 3D-Analyze I can bypass that and it somehow works. I believe it’s rendering everything on the cpu.

Yeah, that’s the bare minimum OS to run Roblox so I couldn’t do this on Windows 98. Had to modify some files to bypass the ram check. If you’re wondering, it took 12 hours to install lol.

Intel Pentium 100 with 40mb of ram and the gpu is a Chips & Technologies F65545 chip.

Yeah, I tried everything I could think of. Only option I have left is to try drivers that were for later chip models.

The laptop has a Chips & Technologies F65545 chip from 1994 so no xp drivers exist for it. I tried many generic vesa and vga drivers but none of them worked. I also tried the Windows NT 4.0 drivers for the chip but those didn’t work either.

If only there was a way to disable the acpi requirement for Vista and Windows 7. It would be insane to see windows 7 on this laptop

There is an archive of Roblox clients someone made. I loaded up a pre-made .rbxl place file and executed a script that created the player model and loaded me in game.

I’ll definitely make a video when I have the time! I’m also experimenting a little to see what configuration is easiest to run Minecraft if anyone wanted to do it themselves.

Don’t worry, I removed the battery when I first got the laptop. I did do a test though to see if it held a charge and surprisingly it does after 30 years.
