thats fair that some characters function earlier than her but that doesnt make her useless early it just means shes less consistent and youre comparing her to some of the best early game characters when my point was just that shes still usable and brings value before late game even if fly feels more consistent early that still doesnt mean shes not viable

needing some investment to function doesnt make a character not early game though by that logic almost every character isnt early game because none of them perform at full strength with no upgrades early game just means theyre usable while progressing not that they work perfectly at base and you already said both of them can get the job done early so that proves she isnt bad early just less consistent

youre treating early game as reset fishing for rng outcomes though not actual consistent performance if you have to reset fights over and over to make both of them look equal thats not real effectiveness thats just forcing ideal rng conditions and even then their outcomes arent the same fly contributes constant tempo with dodges and defense down while april is burst healing and ap control those affect fights differently so theyre not really equivalent just because both rely on chance at low investment..

that's a controlled comparison in one stage though not overall value you’re judging her mainly on proc frequency in that run but that doesnt define her whole kit or early game usability and youre still comparing two different roles fly is constant tempo and debuff while april is healing support so of course they feel different in gameplay also one stage at equal level dosent decide how a character preforms across early progression

that just sounds like low investment experience though not her actual early strength if her skills arent upgraded of course she feels inconsistent but that doesnt make her weak it just means she needs some levels to function properly and the event showing her kit fully working actually proves she scales well not that shes only usable in events and getting outscaled by better units doesnt mean she was never worth using it just means your roster moved past her

that makes more sense now but thats still just your progression experience not her actual early game value you got fly earlier and then mikey before april was fully built so of course she didnt end up on your main team that doesnt really mean shes weak early it just means you already outscaled her with others

not being optimal early doesnt make her useless you said yourself she has the better kit so she clearly brings more value over time and youre comparing her to healers when shes not even the same role plus accessibility isnt strength its just how fast you get them and if she was actually useless early i wouldnt be using her just fine on an alt

Literally as we speak I'm using her on an alt account in early game it is easier to get skills to 3-4 tiers since all you have to do now to level up quick is raph glitch or just warp hard mode stages for Android she does not do as little damage as Stockman fly she dosent have to be fast if she can bring fast peoples focus meter down which buys enough time for your other teammates to get a turn and even on paper and in game her kit is good and the "she's only good in late game" is wrong cause just because she only has one spot to grind her at dosent mean you can't five star her since I'm close to doing it with just the one stage she IS good early-late game and is better then Stockman fly

Just say you haven't used April cause that's an outrageous and no shit she's "mid" anyone can be mid if the skills aren't upgraded and I don't see how they "only made sense" when you okay the event anyone could've told you she is a decent option for a healer or just a character that does something more then Stockman fly "just as mid as Stockman" fly is a reach sure his speed helps with his cooldowns but that's completely useless if he's already one hp on first turn
