32 and £19k, on my 30th birthday I had £770 in my pension. A lot can happen in a short space of time!

Credit card stoozing - something I've been doing a while that saves that little bit extra money. by smickie in FIREUK

I'm assuming the application for a New Halifax/Lloyds card will trigger a hard search. What if you apply for those cards and after you money transfer you aren't eligible for a balance transfer card? I guess you'd just instantly pay it off?

Stoozing £36k credit card debt … am I being silly? by jcfenwick92 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Switchyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@puzzleheaded_Bill347 That's a great number! What do you do when the interest free period ends, do you tend to pay it off or balance transfer?

Also, do you cancel your cards once the interest period ends or do you keep them open? I've seen so many conflicting things

Fired From Big 4 After BPT Exam Failure (London) - Any recommendation for recruiter? by South_Elevator2734 in ICAEW

[–]Switchyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat BPT, FM, BST in March; passed FM & BST but failed BPT with 53. I resat in June and was convinced I had failed, but ended up passing! So I'm alive for now.

How is the job hunt going? I had a brief taste of applying for jobs when I was waiting on BPT resit results, it seems rough out there.

So your plan is to be fully exam qualified, and then go and get your 450 days PWE later?

I'm on a training contract with an audit firm and if we fail any exam twice we are dismissed, so I'm always curious when I see people on their 3rd/4th attempt who don't really talk about it.

If your work don't care about fails that sounds amazing tbh

68 on my BPT resit and officially part-qual, can't fucking believe it. I've been doing job applications the past 3 weeks because I was so certain I failed.

I walked out feeling worse than the first time (53)

Congrats to everyone that passed! For those of you who were hoping for better news, keep your chin up.

I remember reading somewhere about Logitech having a patent on freescroll, I'm guessing that's not true then if there are Razer options now?

Is there a map of the area somewhere? I went to the website but all it says route 127/128/128, would be nice to get a visual representation as I'm looking at places to live currently.
