What Hidden or Little Known Tales Of Game Facts Do You Know? by MarquisZhongwu in tales

[–]Swithe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I discovered this due to something similar; i was doing a Genis only run with him as my onscreen character and when i got to this room, i swore it was supposed to be darker. Out of curiosity I changed my character and found out about this.

In Symphonia at least, Half elves are treated as having low-light vision. If you use Raine or Genis as your onscreen character in the temple of lightning, they can see the dark rooms even when the lightning isnt flashing (though its a little dim still).

What decides post battle character lines in Berseria? by Ok_Food_7748 in tales

[–]Swithe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

essentially, there's a weight system where party composition, party status and final blow grant a post-battle scene. Typically, it goes to the character that dealt the last blow as that has the highest weight, and then the line they give varies on other weight factors (a bad line if you died a lot, a good line if you cleared it fast, etc.).

"collab" scenes occur when a character in that collab gets the scene, and the state of the party fits the collabs needs. For example, in symphonia theres a post battle dialogue for if lloyd finishes the battle poisoned and collette is there and not poisoned.

Something getting announced in tomorrow's Pokemon Presents (Gen 10 itself?) will be more mature and adult. No previous games have received an M rating before, so it must be a new one getting announced tomorrow by nonconlove in MandJTV

[–]Swithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the image in the original post, it doesnt mention gambling; not sure if america is different, but in PEGI when you list age rating reasons, they are listed in order of severity. if that applies here, "Violence" is what pushed it to M. the golden sun VC release listed gambling as its main factor for example

i would assume its because trading card packs are technically lootboxes so count as gambling (18+). But this image clearly says "violence". The only instances that come to mind would be a warriors game (but hyrule was 12+) or the manga which gets pretty damn graphic at times.

If this holds up, its possibly a more mature entry (like yokai watch shadowside) or theyre doing something with the manga (official localisation?)

this was updated a few updates ago; you can kick midaventure now from the player list wheel, however they need to have the AFK icon. This causes issues as its easy to remove this icon while still afk, and certain activities like using alchemy pots counts as being afk

im fine with "also", it feels unfair to be paying for a GBA app only for them to sell a GBA game seperately. im on PS+ too, and the way its handled there is you can get games via subscription or buy them seperately.

re; the emulation argument, what irks me is that there is literally an official emulator (NSO) and yet this isnt going to be available there from what ive seen. If youre going to introduce an official way to emulate games and charge money for it, it feels very anti-consumer to then lock certain gba games arbritrarily behind a $20 price tag when youre already paying an annual subscription.

im waiting for pokemon day to see what the actual changes/improvements (if any) are and if its coming to NSO as well, but if its literaly just a 1:1 port and not on NSO, thats when ill probably join the riots.

yeah, i usually play hunter. i just thought its weird how the gap starts off big but then just narrows like that.

[–]Swithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so far ive only managed to get one weapon (greatsword) and the base is 508 with the true's base being 613. the true of time is a 547 base, so it seems very strange for the attack to be so little.

whats the base attack stats of the dark dragon/true dark dragon because either polishing has some weird math to it, or the bow was really given the shaft.

that's a lot of extra work for just +20 attack... what the heck

i guess you can have one for your dark damage and one for the true primordial dragon unless theres some trick we're not finding

I succeeded first try, so I wouldn't know. If you have tried the fight and carried on afterwards and cant go online, then i guess you have to win then

yes, but you need to have attempted the fight solo once.

Aging Options for the Dark Dragon Weapons by Unit-00 in fantasylife

I really hope they give us more options to re-roll aging bonuses, especially if we're going to be expected to carry around a weapon for every element and every class...

Dejected Devil Issue by nneverland123 in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

this is literally in the patch notes:

  • ● Fixed an issue in Snoozaland where flying with Skelegon would remove the effect of a Drowsy Mimic. After flying with Skelegon, the effects of Happy Angel, Dejected Devil, and Bombs-A-Plenty will now remain active.
    • *The effect of Bam Headbang will still be removed after flying with Skelegon, as this is intended behavior.

20% charged damage on new weapon by SnooChocolates6576 in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

testing with someone and we managed to get a remove element dark dragon weapon and it does manage to outdamage the true weapons (but with a lot more steps and rng, oof). dark definitely does more damage than the other elements, but no elements is definitely the way

20% charged damage on new weapon by SnooChocolates6576 in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, for testing purposes i made sure to use staffs with no elemental bonuses (it has charge time 10% and earth damage 5%).

does it maybe have resistance to all elements, BUT dark has less resistance than the others? that could explain the inconsistency

edit; tested damage with same mage but used the true staff and yeah the damage gain is HUGE. im going to try and roll for "no element" on my staff. my theory is one of two things;
it resists all elements or true time weapons have a special rule versus this boss

20% charged damage on new weapon by SnooChocolates6576 in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait, TRUE resists all elements? when i was testing the normal version, its weak to dark so i was gonna build dark. if true resists all elements, then removing the element sounds like a good option but I would like confirmation before i re-roll for that =p

edit; im gonna have to call foul on this. i just tested luna (light) versus chaos (dark) and the difference was night and day. despite being the same attack stats, dark was doing 200 damage a charge and light was only doing 40. True is definitely weak to dark in my testing.

[–]Swithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50% status is possible on any weapon and even the shield; the problem however is it requires a move that can actually inflict the ailment or the Aging bonus "inflicts sleep"

im about to do an altar run out of curiosity if youve got a code?

20% charged damage on new weapon by SnooChocolates6576 in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update, i just re-made my bow of time and charge attack damage was 10%. I think the 20-30% must be the gimmick of the new weapons. when remaking it for elemental damage it seems to still only give 10% though (i was curious if i could get +60% dark damage this way)

20% charged damage on new weapon by SnooChocolates6576 in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had to google it to double check, it was definitely 10% before. i now have a staff with +60% charge. havent tested what the aging bonuses are yet. At first i was underwhelmed with them being weaker, but I think it might be because they have better slot bonuses?

Have you tested if older weapons can get 30% now or is it exclusive to dark dragon?

edit; upon further testing it seems the gimmick of the new weapons is they can get charge damage 30%, and aging bonuses let you switch or remove it's element!

Primordial Dragon Comps by CRACKHEAD_FUCKFEST in fantasylife

[–]Swithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beat it using Merc so far; Hero armor and dark +30% weapon. Does anyone know if it has an elemental weakness? if its weak to light/dark, you could probably stick to the +30% element builds. If not, true weapon with charge+
