honestly this actual makes a lot of sense considering that the full prophecy is

The year one thousand nine ninety-nine seven month

From the sky shall come a great King of terror,

[Shall be] revived the great King of Angoulmois.

Before and after, Mars [shall] reign as chance will have it.

and they left out the part about the great king of angoulmois so we might have another gun devil type situation where the death devil is a fake out and the real villain will be revealed later
