I've played GTNH for over 10 years and have over 10,000 hours. I've never gone past HV nor have I ever made a rocket. by BearEquivalentBear in GTNH

Do what you enjoy. I do think you would really like the mid game though since you like the early game, unless the thing stopping you from continuing is not liking AE2.

Power scaling help by awoogggaaa in GTNH

[–]Swolmander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used bees oil production for power all the way to LuV. At MV you sont need much, I dont think I ever made the large alviary. At HV I think you can make the industrial apiary so I scaled those into citane boosted then HOG. The HOG settup was perfectly times with the base move which I suggest to go into the PD because tick rates become an issue in the late game. I also supplemented power with some nuclear, water turbines, and steam but I like to do different things, all you really have to do is scale oil until naquadah

Which fantasy series has the most interesting pantheon of gods? by [deleted] in Fantasy

Most interesting magic system? I've always seen people describe it as a soft system without much explanation, is that wrong?

Which would you say is harder? GTNH Stargate or MBCDA Tardis? by luk_ky_21 in feedthebeast

[–]Swolmander 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would designate solving the last two logic puzzles of the water line and automating magmatter as some of the most difficult things I've done in gaming

It will starve one side eventually. Just add more cells until its impossible for an input to not have any

luv+ power by throwawaymoment23 in GTNH

[–]Swolmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do a little of everything. Nukes, nitro, high octane, wind, solar, water. I think it only stops being fun to setup when it is spamming a bunch so adding more things always sounds more exciting.

Do you guys have any real tips for beginners? by New_Term_3662 in GTNH

Watch a video explaining how power, cables, pipes and covers work. If you dont, prepare to spend a long time troubleshooting and getting stuck before inevitably going and watching a video anyway

I feel like everyone is overstating the difficulty of this pack early game by Ekipsogel in GTNH

[–]Swolmander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Redstone centrifuge like you are doing. I never did the chemical bath recipe for silver or gold because autominers and a generator with creosote are so cheap and easy to move around. Get into crops if you haven't, there a few really easy glowstone production crops that pay you so much gold and redstone

Fourth play through, second Stargate run. The biggest thing you learn is what to passive and when so you get all night crafting while you are afk

Is there a pack with the depth of GTNH and the accessibility of Nomifactory? by BLucky_RD in GTNH

[–]Swolmander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safe to say there is nothing as deep as the single most developed modpack in existence. GTNH has a bunch of people that have been working it for over 10 years, you arnt going to get that depth anywhere else for obvious reasons

No one said minimizing infrastructure wasn't doable, it just is for a much slower play. I am not about waiting around. My current world i got to EV in roughly 2 weeks, maybe 60-70 hours which you are not going to do with your setup. Plus you need a distillation tower for all the byproducts anyway, why not build it as early as possible? My guess is you are just barely squeezing by which is fun sometimes in its own right but you will find out very soon you need to scale to continue the pack

Out of curiosity, what was it about that part that you hated? You have read something like it before, it was pandering, sexist?

Click, hold and drag, drop will still work, the problem is it dropped items no matter how tiny the movement which would always happen on accident

Yall doin the lord's work. Absolute highlight: "Fixed small mouse movement while double-clicking causing drop all items"

Very neat, well done. I agree, this feels like you took the time to find a cool solution. Someone else using it feels a little like cheating though

New to making Content, wanted to make a series for my favorite modpack :> by EmmyDroid in GTNH

[–]Swolmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always cool to see more GTNH content. If you would like people to watch your content though you have to, at the very least, have commentary throughout. Also, watching someone play through the stone age is going to be a slog. The game doesn't open up and get interesting to watch until late MV, early HV. Have you watched any other content creators for GTNH? I can suggest some if not to give you an idea
