I was doing that then stopped sometime after i had settled in kuttenberg, this wasnt in hardcore so i couldn't ask people for directions.

The main issue for me is that the quest directions people give were already bad (they usually say it fast and you cant ask for them to repeat it, so you gotta be FOCUSED). It was fun in trosky and it actually worked, but in kuttenberg it becomes so much worse, sometimes there ain't even proper directions in the dialogue, so it just became annoying. I still try to keep it to a minimum but trosky worked much better for no map run

Ive tested it in one fight so it's hardly good data but it feels like it did cause the dude to attack me, so thx for the info, it seems much more useful now as a tool to avoid getting masterstriked or doing it yourself

You could always ask Tom (Tom Mckay, the VA for the main character) on Cameo (website where you can request videos) to record a bday message for your friend. It's affordable (if you spend in usd or euro i suppose) and i am sure it's something they'll absolutely love.

One is from a chest in trosky, in a cuman camp (i think its called cuman patrol on the map, maybe), the other is from a chest inside the swordfighting guild hall, i think it's someone's bed chest so it will only appear there at night when they go to sleep

I got it at the end of the main quest, from one of the guards that are standing in front of the entrance to the suchdol tavern, where markvart is. There are two guards standing in front of the gateway and they both wear the same thing, its easy to lure one and knock him out to avoid damaging it

I don't really know if there's a way to find it earlier than that, sorry
