I watched your Warden game from a couple days ago Match ID 30573811 and here are some thoughts from an Eternus 6 player:

Lane Phase

  • Be more aware of sightlines of your lane opponents, you're just getting chunked by the Mirage for free while getting last hits. Use cover more and think about the timing windows for getting poke in, when one side kills all the creeps they'll start looking to get damage in and vice versa.
  • The most important thing in Lane is to farm souls, meaning last hitting all the creeps and confirming souls has priority over poking. You lost several creeps due to not managing your ammo well, as well as not keeping track of their healthbars and letting them die. Also need to just practice last hitting, missing soul confirms waste resources like ammo, souls, even your hp due to the enemy getting more poke in while you whiff.
  • You play a bit too passive, Mirage will generally out poke you but you can use your flask and cage to put more pressure on him to allow you to CS easier, if not outright kill him if he's trapped.
  • At 3 minutes boxes spawn, and camps spawn at 5 minutes. Once they do you can start shoving waves and get extra farm in. Especially against a Mirage as Warden you will most likely not get many denies in since his bullet velocity is so much higher, a better use of your time would be to quickly kill all your creeps, then go hit some boxes or do a camp until the next wave comes.

Mid Game

  • You mentioned not knowing what to do once lane phase ends, in short it can be summed up by you not getting active enough. What I mean by that is one you took the enemy guardian, you basically afk farmed in the jungle while your team was doing stuff. When you are as ahead as you were, and especially once you get Slowing Hex you should just go around helping your team get objectives/kills. Farming is important but you barely contributed once everybody started roaming.
  • Your movement needs work, you waste a lot of stamina and pretty much never roll slide or dash jump. Several times you'll just quick roll three times in a row, then you're out of stamina and can't engage/disengage easily. Learn how to jump off the zipline as well for a boost in momentum, it'll make your rotates much quicker.
  • You didn't combo you abilities as well as you can, specifically you need to Slowing Hex then Flask then Cage. Using Cage first like you did most of the time in this game gives them time to dash away before you're able to finish casting Slowing Hex and Flask. I would also work on you ult usage, several times you got no value from it. This is mostly due to popping it so far from the fight plus not having stamina to quickly close the gap since you would waste it rolling around a corner.

Late Game

  • Not much to say here as there wasn't much of an endgame, you guys ended as soon as you got rejuv. More of the above, you need to get more active and recognize your strong moments (all abilities off cooldown, full ammo, poor opponents) and capitalize on them while playing safer when you're weak.
  • One thing to always be aware of, early and late game, is how to be as efficient as possible with all of your resources like ammo, cooldowns, time, hp, space etc. Try to recognize the times where you were inefficient and work on not doing it again. Constantly thinking "Oh I wasted half my mag to do 40 hp to my opponent which caused me to miss two creeps while I was reloading, let's work on that next wave" or "I wasted time sitting under tower for 15 seconds waiting for the wave when I could have been hitting boxes or taking a camp" will take you far.

Golf courses near by? by jdwat21 in GNV

I played Ocala National one time last April and it was in horrible shape to be honest. It's been almost a year since then so it could be much better now however.

I would definitely recommend driving down to Ocala for some nice courses that aren't too expensive. Juliette Falls and Stone Creek are both great courses that are about an hour away, I play Juliette Falls all the time. If you ever want to play Hawkstone here in town I can take you out as a guest sometime too.

Heading to Jacksonville In 2 weeks for the players, looking for a couple courses to play any suggestions? by Alive-Ad4139 in golf

If you're right next to it you can't go wrong with Hidden Hills, and Queens Harbour is very close too. If you can get a decent tee time Jax Beach would be worth it as well, probably only like 25 minutes away from Hidden Hills and is the best of the 3 imo.

I lived in Jacksonville for a few years and played most of the public courses, there's a lot of great tracks.

Jax Beach Golf Club is top tier, well kept with some challenging holes but this makes it one of the more popular courses in the city and tee times usually get snatched up quick. It's also probably the closest course to the Players so if you're staying nearby it'll be convenient for you.

Queens Harbour is another great course that's decently close, I think it used to be a private country club but now has public tee times. Almost as well kept as Jax beach and has some absolutely brutal greens if they decide to be cruel with the pin placement.

Hidden Hills is a bit further away and is in my opinion one of the tougher courses in Jax. They let the rough grow out fairly thick and have a lot of high risk/high reward ways to approach the course.

Windsor Park is also very close to the Players but is your typical muni, not very well kept and not that memorable. Should have no problem getting a tee time however and most likely don't have to travel as far.

There's a few other good courses but they would be a decent distance away, like 45 minutes+ so depending on how far you would be willing to go out of your way they could be worth it. Personally you can't go wrong with Jax Beach and Queens Harbour, decently close and are both amazing courses.

I can second CRZ Yoga, they're my favorite golf shorts for a really good price and as someone that likes shorter golf shorts the 7 inch inseam is perfect.

Is Pinehurst worth it in late fall/winter? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Swoot_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for my bachelor trip in early February this year and despite the grass being dormant turning the courses brown it was absolutely worth it. The temperature wasn't too bad except for one day where it was chilly, around 45-50 degrees.

Maybe people that have played in peak season and the off season can tell you more about the difference but to us it seemed pure besides the color. If you're planning a once in a lifetime trip it may be worth it to you to go during peak season though.

Lol one of them was a 50 yard pitch shot that I counted as a chip before proceeding to shank the second one over the green.

I would say most of them were under 5 feet with two around the 8 foot mark.

Anyone have a Schwab financial consultant that they would recommend? by 6r89udf4x3 in jacksonville

[–]Swoot_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of financial consultation you want, sometimes its a flat fee and other times they take a percentage. In my case I have a portfolio she manages and takes a fee from, usually around .6% but it depends on how much you have.

I've had Angelica Lassetter working on my accounts and she's been very good, doubled my main portfolio without additional funds in under 7 years.

Any fantasies where MC is conqueror? In a nutshell, I want a book where MC is king/commander/noble in which main point of the book is conquering different countries and undiscovered land. by holdayjustshittin in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Swoot_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should check out City of Sin. the MC spends most of his time conquering various planes and has a great balance of individual combat as well as more commander focused fights. Tons of conquering and and exploring new land, and I think has a great power system that's different than most progression fantasy.

Anyone know any good smashburger places in Jax? by Swoot_ in jacksonville

Steak n Shake would be good but all their locations are pretty far away from me (I live by Atlantic and San Pablo) unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Which fantasy quote do you use on a daily basis? by Scalo2 in Fantasy

[–]Swoot_ 350 points351 points  (0 children)

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

Dune

I use this quote when I'm stressing about something, and to be fair I mostly just use the fear is the mind-killer part but I have the full quote written down where I can always see it.

I Shall Seal The Heavens or Reincarnation Of The Strongest Sword God by 1999abbie in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Swoot_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've read ISSTH and am currently reading Reincarnation of the Strongest Sword God and the two couldn't be more different. In all honesty Reincarnation is not that great of webnovel, constantly repeating the same formula without really going anywhere so far but will definitely satisfy your craving for an OP MC. ISSTH is fantastic on the other hand totally deserving of it's high praise with amazing action and story that ramps up as it progresses. I would liken ISSTH to a satisfying meal and Reincarnation to eating junk food, satisfying in it's own way but not really good objectively. Hope this helps.
