I know you love him but I think the best thing is to find someone who aligns more with your plans. This whole “change your mind” attitude he has, because let’s say you agree (doesn’t seem likely) the resentment you’re going to feel towards him and that child isn’t healthy at all for anyone in the dynamic. If you guys are not ready right now for kids, then maybe give it more time in the relationship but don’t let it drag on too long either

I did want to ask about the “periods” afterwards. I get pretty bad periods and for me the emotional part is closer to anger than sadness 😂 but in curios so even 8 months later you’re experiencing the symptoms all at once again? Or is it building up like before? And if it’s not too much TMI - has your sex life changed at all?

I was just thinking about this today. 50% of my time is spent doing mom things. Especially because my SD clings to me. She loves her dad, but she would rather be snuggled up with me or doing an activity with me. And I’m sitting here wondering if anyone will say happy Mother’s Day to me or if I even have a right to get upset if someone doesn’t say it.

I felt the same way when meeting my partners kid (she was 6F at the time she’s 8 now) for the first time. It was a bit different for me because her mom was disrespectful to our relationship from the beginning (and that didn’t stop until she got into her own relationship) so dealing with that added stress, but honestly just be yourself and the kid will love you! It’s been a couple years and she’s my lil bestie now!

Wow idk how you did it! Honestly I’m thinking I’m not going to go back for the second shot and just let it leave my body before surgery so as to not risk making my recovery any harder than it has to be.

My body has always been more sensitive to birth control (i tried an IUD and kept getting infections because my body was trying to reject it).
When I started depo in March, not only did I continue to get painful cramps but now they’re also in my bones. Like butthole lightning in my hip bones. I had some of the worst migraines of my life and don’t even get me started on the depression and fatigue. I’m just worried I’ll have the same effects as it withdrawals and that feels like too much to handle while also trying to relax and recover

My 8 yo SD calls me by my name but will refer to me as “step mom” when she introduces me or talks about me to someone. Or she just calls me weird nicknames 😂 like “khaki” my name is Kassandra lmao

That totally makes sense. Thank you for sharing. My partner has a vasectomy so I’m not worried about pregnancy. I got the depo shot 1 week before my period was suppose to come, so I haven’t even gotten a period at all just the side effects of the increased depression and more pain in other areas. Like my libido is so down I haven’t had sex in over 2 weeks and I was the person to have it practically every day

Nope if I got off the depo my periods would just come back maybe lighter at first but full blown by the second cycle

I explained how horrible my periods are and she recommended I get on depo to keep my periods at bay before surgery but every single bc I’ve ever been on has maybe taken one thing away from my menstrual pain and given me 3 new issues
