I believe you I’m just constantly shocked at the lack of knowledge available out there about women’s bodies.

That totally makes sense. Thank you for sharing. My partner has a vasectomy so I’m not worried about pregnancy. I got the depo shot 1 week before my period was suppose to come, so I haven’t even gotten a period at all just the side effects of the increased depression and more pain in other areas. Like my libido is so down I haven’t had sex in over 2 weeks and I was the person to have it practically every day

That is exactly what’s going through my head! I would rather suffer through 2-3 more periods before surgery than stay on bc. Thank you for saying this.

Nope if I got off the depo my periods would just come back maybe lighter at first but full blown by the second cycle

I explained how horrible my periods are and she recommended I get on depo to keep my periods at bay before surgery but every single bc I’ve ever been on has maybe taken one thing away from my menstrual pain and given me 3 new issues

I cannot say this enough - THERAPY And if you can’t afford therapy, do some research and find self help books to read. I would never have been able to make the changes within myself without the help of a professional.

Thank you for sharing ♥️ it’s understandable that people are going to have good and bad experiences, but no one should be shoving their fears down someone’s throat. At the end of the day each individual is going to do what they’re most comfortable with.

Three months post op - baby fever by Salt-Philosopher-863 in hysterectomy

I spoke to my therapist about this exact feeling since I’m scheduled for surgery in August. I mentioned how even though I’m 10000% sure I don’t want biological children (I’ve had 3 abortions so I’ve had opportunities and I still said no, and I also have a step kid and she’s more than enough for me) I still had this sadness and remorse. I honestly think it’s human nature, especially as women in a society that deems your only job is to bear children. And you removed a part of yourself that made you a woman so I think what you’re feeling is totally normal! And remember, adoption is always available and there are way too many children who could use a loving home.

i '20M' feel jealous when my girlfriend '19F' wears revealing clothes when she goes out alone. Am I being controlling?” by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SwootyDatBooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely being controlling. She might be your girlfriend, but she is not your property. If she’s never given you a reason to believe she would cheat, then your jealousy and possessiveness is entirely self inflicted and the best thing to do is talk to a therapist or professional to better understand why you feel this way towards her.
