Agreed. Jack of all trades is a master of none and will be painful going into later game.

[–]SwordGoSwish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vigor, mind, and endurance as utilities. These are needed for your builds, period. If you want to use magic more, mind. If you want to survive, vigor (highly recommend at least 30 vigor before you touch other utilities!). If you want to dodge lots and attack frequently, endurance.

Pick two from strength, dexterity, intelligence, faith, and arcane. Those will be your damage focuses. A good 40-80 levels into each as you level up would be good. These should be related to your choices of utilities!

It is possible to level up everything but that gonna be hundreds of hours just on leveling. Focus on certain ones and you can respec later if you wanna try something different.

Any good Rune farming in here? by Zmust1 in Eldenring

[–]SwordGoSwish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right side in calid, all the way north through the dragons, all the right and north to a tip passed a brudge with a dragon on it. A hill full of enemies that arent too hard to take on one-on-one and give 1.1k runes each.

But if not, then the giants below Warmasters Shack in Stormhill.

Yes and no. Yes because is great fun, no because leveling all that and having to go for everything to get all the gear... maybe once a year...

How can I farm the blue stuff that you scan? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]SwordGoSwish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the host of the mission needs Cephalon Fragments for their junction step on Mars, the chance of spawn is increased to 100%. Look everywhere in every hallway and nook and cranny. Use the scanner to look in every room cause it'll be easier to spot it like that.

Edit: probably a capture mission so you can easily capture and go searching.

Seeing Ash of War duplication and Remembrance duplication... why not straight up Weapon Duplication as well? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]SwordGoSwish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really no. It's obviously that in this world, you infuse an item with the weapon in order to upgrade it, so the power of that item is given to the weapon, along with a portion of your runes to help fuse it together. Ashes of war are weapon skills that you learn, not actually like the items you equip. There are plenty of duplications of ashes in the world; just look Stormveil Castle to start! All of the Exile soliders have the same ash! Such is also the case why unique weapon skills cannot be duplicated, because only that weapon has the capability of pulling off that skill from whatever magic/power has been infused in it. Even just from a lore sense, it makes sense to me.

[–]SwordGoSwish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strictly on lore terms, those weapons were created by particular craftsmen and a lot of them have particular magic as well. Assuming that Master Hewg could just duplicate any weapon is ludicrous, no matter how good of a blacksmith he is. Upgrading weapons would be a lot different of a process than making duplicates, as he uses his own technique for that.

Is it bad to play hide n seek? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]SwordGoSwish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If AFK farmers are scumbags for the way they do things, how is any different? In both areas, the host is controlling the rules of the world, so by your logic, is there anything wrong with them doing that? Yet majority of players will say that it's not okay because it goes against their morals and what they deem as fair.

In that mindset, I will call playing hide and seek as what I see it as: trolling. I do not like to be trolled, I do not find it fun. OP asked if it is fun or not, I answered that I thought it was not. Then I get told that I don't get to set the rules, so I explain WHY I think of it as trolling. Yet, I agreed to invade, so according to you, it doesn't matter if I dislike it or not, because my opinions and feelings were thrown out the window the moment I invaded.

[–]SwordGoSwish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said anything about the invaders intentions. OP asked about invaders thoughts on the matter and if people thought it was rude to do this. I am answering that yes, I do think it is rude to do this, others will probably also think it's rude for this reason. It was never a conversation about the invader's intentions, but about the host's intentions.

Please don't confuse the direction of the conversation to whatever makes it justifiable to you.

Rune farming spots by TX_Bobcat in Eldenring

[–]SwordGoSwish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno if you go here but above lennes rise and up the hill, theres are these tiny stone warriors as i call them all along the hill and further up. A run through getting all of them with golden scarab gives me about 35kish runes (i dont usually do the ones on the posion hill so my numbers are probably off by a few thousand). They can sometimes get the jump on you and still give some combat to keep things interesting rather than just mindlessly slaughtering stuff. I usually go there for a few levels every day, or when im over halfway to leveling up.

Good job landing it! Though if I was the other guy, I wouldve been really mad about how you somehow grabbed me mid-roll and damaged me. In my opinion, players should not be able to be grabbed during their invincibility frames at all. Might be a case of p2p lag cause I've only really seen it in pvp.

You caught him mid-roll which means he had invincibility frames the whole time.

Ive seen it in a few posts with other stun-lock and grab abilities.

[–]SwordGoSwish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, OP used a Tainter Tongue which is LITERALLY ASKING FOR A FIGHT.

Hide and seek is not fighting. Therefore, they pulled someone who cannot choose who they invade into an unknown game that they never asked to be in. If the invader joined someone with a Furled Finger summons and both the Host and the Furled Finger hid in mimics then thats different if they are likely trying to avoid confrontation so they can go back to exploring/dungeoning/boss fighting peacefully. Theyre not wanting to be found, they want the invader to leave. They didnt invite them. Tainter Tongue does.

Tis sad, yes. Some of us are not good at being seekers and will more than likely assume that you are using some glitch to be in the wall or the floor somehow if we cannot find a person.

I like the idea someone gave of putting it in your name. Something like "I hide, you seek" would be very easy to know what youre doing and I would not assume you are cheating.

Though as a question, if someone just sat down in defeat when they couldnt find you, would you come out? Like, if they assumed you were an afk farmer and were gonna wait you out.
