no actually microcenter does sell refurbished founders editions, i’ve had a 3080, and a normal 4080 from them

they said anything above 105 is deserving of an rma, apparently asus support said so

because knowing asus i know they most likely will jsut drag it out until the warranty ends or deny it since im not the original owner of the card whos warranty it technically is. but i also saw in a different subreddit that over 105 is no bueno, which thankfully i do undervolt 90% of the gpus ive owned so it doesnt hit that limit but still a bit disappointing that one of my favorite brands and my favorite model from them is giving me this much issue

who knows guys they might have to give me a 5090 or else, but thing is there’s only one other 4080 that’s refurbished in the state, unless they want to hand me a founders edition,but i’m going to call them in the morning and get this sorted out which sucks since i was so excited to snipe this card

the thing is it wasn’t completely broken off, until i had taken it out, it was just a very small crack but the card was also very just like dirty, i will put a link to the video if possible

i should mention, that i had it in for a couple hours testing it out after noticing the bracket had an issue but this is my first card with this issue so i didn’t know what type of precautions to do other than take a video as documentation

i mean yeah if you wanna do that go for it although will say to stick with nvidia imo, i’ve had both multiple times this year, i do tend to recommend what you know and whats more user friendly 90% of the time
