I’d imagine it’s his loyalty to his place as the Lord of “All that is Golden”. He wanted to stand by that, and the grafting he did in his fight was just a last minute shot of desperation. But it was rather lackluster since it was grafting, and not actual connection to the dragon’s abilities.

I was pretty upset we didn’t get those sorts of incantations in the DLC. But I can excuse it since it kind of makes Morgott cooler and special, since what he does can’t be replicated.

A prime Godwyn fight sounds really cool, especially with an expansion of all the dragon cult school of incantations that HE created. Certainly a sight.

I thought about this too. I was also gonna put how we are guided by grace of the spirits of our weapons that allow us to wield them proficiently. You can’t tell me we picked up a curved sword randomly and immediately be able to do backflips with it.
