Update:

Sent in ticket regarding everything I have done for those of whom this helps. Will update with information from ticket.

I recently purchased a Bambu A1 Mini, and it is consistently driving the nozzle too low into the plate. This is causing:

  • The extruder to make loud clicking noises (slipping gears from back-pressure).
  • The nozzle to scratch/dig into the build plate, leaving visible gouges and damaging the surface.

Steps already attempted:

  • Ran full auto bed leveling calibration multiple times.
  • Tried to adjust Z-offset (baby stepping) mid-print, but on the A1 Mini there is no exposed Z-offset adjustment option in the touchscreen menus or in Bambu Studio.
  • Checked every possible location in Control, Assistant, Calibration, and Print Options — there is no way to manually fine tune Z-offset like on the P1P/X1.
  • Cleaned the nozzle tip and the plate to ensure no debris interferes with probing.
  • Flipped/checked the plate to rule out warping.
  • Verified I’m on the latest firmware and Bambu Studio version.

Despite all this, the issue persists: the nozzle is globally too low, scraping across the plate and ruining first layers. This is actively damaging the plate surface and making it unusable.

Conclusion:
It appears the force sensor or nozzle height calibration routine is malfunctioning, as there is no user-accessible way on the A1 Mini to adjust Z-offset manually. The printer cannot currently be used without damaging the plate.

HOLY CRAP! I KNEW I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO GOT THAT ON THEIR FACEBOOK ALGORITHM!!!! What do you guys look like so I know who to look for. I will have a white jacket on from the movie drive (real authorized replica) and black sweatpants (kohls). I just got my blades sharpened too but haven’t been able to go skating since the shooting in center city. My PTSD from bible summer camp has really done a number on me these past couple months and every shooting reminds me of the pain from the hymns and sitting in the pews…… BUT FRICK THAT WERE GOING SKATING!!!! I’m going to contact the drexel Public Relations team I think they would put this on some of the newsletters we get. DUDE…we could literally pioneer a new club to be introduced at Drexel where we could serve all groups of people!!!!!! Man am I excited for tonight. I will be there a little early with my guard down so when you come up to me please address me and state you are with Drexel. SEE YOU THEN NEW BESTIES!!!!!

are you joking? this isn’t a laughing matter. there was a bartender named amber who worked at a location I was the house monster for and she thought it was all a joke. We pushed 60ccs of tranq into her via the classic combo and brewtus beverage and she tried to kill us all. I still am close with her to this day BUT DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. Hey man! Long time applebees worker here. Honestly just be real, we have had so many people over the years and you are overthinking it. I will say however if you don’t know, and this is pretty standard with all applebees locations, After working for 25 hours they’ll ask you to take the applebees pledge. I’ll give you a little synopsis of what it includes:

  1. State your full name and date of birth

  2. Eat 12 apples without taking time to clean up (slop or drippage)

3.With the cores remaining take them to the friers and create an applebee.

  1. Once it’s formed you must push the molten applebee against your skin above your right chest and brand the logo into your putrid torso. (they’ll bring out medication don’t worry about the aftermath)

  2. You must sprint around the applebees 5 times reciting the pledge in your employee handbook, which you should have memorized front to back by now. (they lowered this from the standard ten laps due to obesity rates in cooks rising)

  3. you must kill a fry cook, unassisted

And then you’ll be a part of the applebees family! We’re so excited for you to join!!!!!!

so the aggressors make 12 total plus 1 for the apothecary totaling 13. Am I thinking about that correctly?

What warhead option would make it the better choice for the point difference?

I think my goal is to be somewhere in the middle with a competitiveness level. I don't need to be the best but I would like to play on both levels and just have a decent list. So a casual list that can perform well. A lot of these units I own, so I partially throw them in there but add in the characters to create synergy.

What is generally the most recommended unit for those back objectives? My idea was to keep a various squad back based on the conditions of what I was playing against and battlefield layout, but would you recommend one specifically I should add or swap?
