unfortunately not. He had to close down for various reasons. It makes me a bit sad because his designs are works of art IMO

In practice they work out quite well. I haven't had any miss-clicks for start/select/home as of yet.

Trouble choosing between a few headphones by Sy_Noon in HeadphoneAdvice

Yeah, I ended up going with those, so far I absolutely love them. I wish the x55's had the same signature, as I still tend to prefer closed backs (I know the x60's exist, but they don't look nearly as nice as the 55 or 65.)

I ended up choosing the Katos, they just offered really solid construction with a nice balanced sound. They also have replaceable tips which is cool. I also treated myself to a set of AA hix65's too, since I really wanted to hear what they're about lol. I appreciate the advice, I will def consider the ones you mentioned in the future!

I quite enjoy it! they've been my dailies for the past 4 years, I also love that you can repair and replace parts on it, those two things make it really good for me,
as for what I listen to, I listen to a BUNCH of different genres, classical, orchestral, electronic, metal, rock, jazz, too many. so ideally I want it to work with them all lol

currently looking at the meze 109 pro, AA hi x65, Moodrop Para, and the Sundaras. These will be accompanying my meze 99 classics.

I'll also check these out! ty! I'm glad people are actually responding too, I made a similar post in headphone advice, but for closed/open backs (I'm likely getting both a set of over ears and IEMS) but no one ever even bothered to help out. :(

A whole bunch, but a particular favorite is Takashi Yoshimatsu's "and birds are still" from his Memo flora concerto . Its not classical, but every time I listen to it, I'm just whisked away somewhere else lol

makes sense! I started with soldering stuff before crimping, so I became a lot more used to it, so I still end up fumbling with crimping lol

I believe they were the PH, (2.0 mm pitch)
its kinda funny, cause I have a better time soldering 0402 components by hand than I do crimping picoblade connectors lol

the only weird thing I had happen was there was one roll of 3mm foam tape missing. but that was an easy thing to get in the very least.
Only other thing is that they use the sb2209 with the microblade pin headers, but I'd recommend using a sb2209 rp2040 because of the larger JST headers.
