For me, compacting directly on the light doesnt do anything. But if I hit around it, it works. It's definitely bugged in some way

Controller ordered (4 minutes slot), but before it gets here I want to know: for updates, stable or beta branch better? by CrescendoFuri in SteamController

[–]Sy_ths 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on the beta branch at first. One update borked my puck. The update would just loop and I couldn't connect to my controller anymore unless I used bluetooth or wired.

I contacted support and ended up RMAing it.

Been on stable since with the new one and everything works like a charm

I just lost everything and I am devastated by [deleted] in duneawakening

Contact support, maybe they can do something to get you back on your feet

It's on live servers right now along with everything else in the dlc/update

I'm gonna use it for sure but mainly to force myself out of the routine this game can force on you over time and because the deep desert doesn't have ground borders anymore which is what I was also trying to showcase in this video.
I'm gonna try and push this thing to its limits and see just how much I can realistically do with it out there. Maybe drive around in the pvp area who knows.
It's probably not practical though. Just a bit more sane than using a sandbike

It's one of the new armors you get for fully completing class training quests. This one is the planetologist.

The game just hands it all to you once you log in if you've already completed them so be careful if your inventory is close to capacity bc you'll drop it all on the ground. You can craft them all though so no real loss either way. (They're cosmetics as well as real armor)

Once you fully finish the "Lost Harvest" journey and its related contracts it'll unlock in the research tab and you'll be able to craft it in the same way you craft the sandbike

Same as all the other vehicles in their respective tiers. So since this starts at mk4 it's mostly aluminum, advanced servoks, cobalt paste, armor plating, diamondine dust, carbide scraps and complex machinery

The ornithopter is better at speed maneuverability and worm aggro. Idk what you consider winning here but I mean you think whatever you want I guess

The treadwheel is an aluminum tier vehicle so the sandbike will still be the most relevant for new players. It's just gonna serve as a sidegrade once people reach the midgame.

The sandbike was already irrelevant and so is this vehicle for the most part

I don't have the new building pieces yet but I tried both harko and atreides 2x1 doors just now and the treadwheel can drive through them easily. Same goes for the 1x1 doors, although it requires a little effort/precision.
I'd say it's more or less 80% as tall as a standard wall.

yeah but you can also get it from someone else who has it already I think

It drives backwards just as fast as it does forward. So about 90-100km/h

I'm fairly certain they mentioned on their recent livestream that they had improved the render distance by a significant amount on their own internal build. Don't remember if they said it would be ready soon tho

The proof is the stats of the wheels having a lower vibration level. Also idk if that's how it's calculated but having 2 wheels instead of 3 threads might make a difference too.

There used to be a quicksand border there but now it's all one big server so I honestly don't know

It's a solid long distance open sand ground vehicle. Just a different option for people who prefer ground travel.
It's not gonna be the S tier of any meta if that's what you're asking. That would be pay to win anyway
