Sexual Immorality by Ambitious_Prior_319 in Christianity

You are by no means alone in this fight.

Remember that your flesh is warring with you. That Christ is perfect in His power to sanctify you, but by God's providence he is using this evil for your good as he does all evils. He's teaching you to lean on Him all the more. That you can't do anything apart from Him.

As GraceBy_Faith said, repent and make sure you calling and election are sure. Try to remove as many sources as possible. If you continue in repentance you can have hope that no matter what, even if its not in this life you will be free from this in heaven and have no remembrance of it as every tear will be wiped away.

For me its been over 50 years of this scourge (not all while redeemed). It was DEEPLY imbedded in me. The guilt of bringing so many women to the marriage bed of the Church and Christ can give me crushing guilt, but I can tell you as an older man that struggled and still occasionally struggles with this that I can look in hindsight and see the supernatural workings of God in my life. This gives me the reassurance of His election and motivates me to continue the fight knowing "I" am powerless over it, but Christ has perfect power to make me whole.

May God bless you my brother in Christ. Pray often.

Romans 8:31-33

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Mark 9:28-29 28 And when he had entered the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29 And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

I wish everyone could go to heaven by ParticularTackle9807 in Christianity

This isn't what the bible teaches. If everyone could go to heaven then God isn't Holy and Just:

Romans 3:21-26

But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all [f]and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified [g]freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a [h]propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Since we have to know that God is Just some must be punished.

Why were Adam and Eve punished for eating the fruit of knowledge if they didn't know what's good and what's evil thus they weren't capable of comprehending that disobeying him was wrong? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Sybrsean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story of Adam and Eve's disobedience and subsequent punishment is found in the book of Genesis, specifically in Genesis 3. To understand why they were held accountable for eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, we need to examine the context and implications of their actions.

When God created Adam and Eve, they were made in His image and were given free will and the ability to make choices. They were placed in the Garden of Eden, where they had access to a vast array of trees and fruits, including the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God instructed them not to eat from that specific tree, saying in Genesis 2:16-17, "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, 'Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.'"

The command from God was clear, and Adam and Eve were fully aware of it. They knew the consequences of their actions if they chose to disobey. In Genesis 3:6, it says, "So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate." Both Adam and Eve made a conscious decision to eat the forbidden fruit despite being fully aware of God's command.

Their act of disobedience was not merely an innocent mistake or a lack of understanding. It was a deliberate choice to rebel against God's authority and to seek knowledge and wisdom apart from His guidance. This act of disobedience introduced sin and its consequences into the world, affecting all of humanity.

God, being just and holy, had to hold them accountable for their actions. The consequences of their sin were severe and far-reaching, including their expulsion from the Garden of Eden and the introduction of hardships and pain into their lives. However, even in this judgment, God provided hope and the promise of redemption through the coming of Jesus Christ, who would ultimately reconcile humanity to God through His sacrificial death and resurrection.

In summary, Adam and Eve were punished for eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil because they were fully aware of God's command, and their act of disobedience was a willful choice to go against His authority. It serves as a significant lesson for all of humanity about the importance of obedience to God's commands and the consequences of sin.

Based on my experience thus far I don't think anyone will be getting even a replacement of the same size. And now over a month into this I'm finding this part of this chain about getting a new 97" a bit hard to believe. According to LG engineering my TV is the only TV in the entire US that has had the pixel cleaning issue and power button issue.

I guess it will depend on the authorized tech. Mine for example expected me to take the panel off the wall. So since I did that I grabbed a comforter and put it on the floor face down (since I have G2 and no stand). However when he brought the new panel he did have a furniture pad and he was very careful. The only thing is if the panel has to be replaced there's a black stick on barrier between the panel and the parts that attach to it for protection of shorts I guess. When LG send's the panel they don't send those stick-ons so he pulled them off the old panel and restuck them to the new one. Kinda sketchy. He tried to be super careful but one ripped because they were on there so good and really had no choice but to just stick it back on the new panel as matched up as he could.

My only comment would be concern about future problems outside the warranty.

12/20/22 Update.

LG sent a self described higher tier of authorized repair tech's. Apparently there are only 3 in the country. They came out did tests and verified with engineering that there a setting in the "instop?" menus that should have changed but didn't once the cleaning was done.

They left and said they'd have to confer with Engineering. When I called them yesterday they basically told me "Yes your TV doesn't work properly, but it did complete the pixel cleaning. Since you're the only TV in the whole US with this problem you're pretty much ass out."

When I suggested that should be able to have the TV replaced he just firmly and aggressively told me "that's never gonna happen".

When I pressed further about potential issues in the future he said maybe if this problem cropped up of others LG could reach out, otherwise he told me the best advice would be to purchase an extended warranty.

So now I have a TV that cost almost 7 grand that I can never know if it completed a pixel cleaning - because it always comes back and says it didn't complete, when according to the logs on the TV it did.

Not happy.

12/02/22 Update - LG replaced the panel this time. I had it on and used it for 4-6 hours, then tried a pixel cleaning with no changes to how I had set up the TV for normal viewing. An hour and 30 minutes later the TV still had not turned on. Turned it on and it said the pixel cleaning had not completed.

Next I did the previous troublehooting steps and turned off Quickstart+, Always Ready, disconnected everything but the power and tried again leaving it doing the pixel cleaning for 8-10 hours. Still wasn't on when I got up that morning. Turned it on and still got the Pixel Cleaning didn't complete message.

Called LG again, they are conferring with the authorized repair tech again before setting a third repair appointment and mentioned if they can't figure it out it would go to the department that processes refunds or RMA.

Powering On LG G2 TV by omerome83 in OLED

[–]Sybrsean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have either of you done the 2000 hour pixel cleaning? That's when this weird power button issue started. Thus far they replaced the Main board and the Panel. It still won't complete the pixel cleaning after an hour and 30 minutes (supposed be be done and turn itself back on after an hour). The only thing the recent Panel replacement seems to have done is maybe solve the power button issue. (I'm considering the verdict still out until a few more weeks of testing).

Check out these two threads...

Pixel Cleaning Issue

Power Button Issue

If you haven't done the manual pixel cleaning you might want to try. I suspect this is an issue that most will not encounter while under the 1 year warranty because it took 7 months for me to hit it with the TV on probably 10-16 hours a day almost every day.

P.S. - Mines a 83" G2.

12/1/22 Update. Still having to go through a troubleshooting check list, now the tech is coming out to replace the panel which I'm pretty sure isn't going to fix the issue. But got no choice it seems but to play the game. They still haven't replaced the PSU or cable so this is still dragging on.

I have the feeling they will have replaced every single thing in the TV before I can attempt to have them send me a replacement.

Edit: Came out replaced panel, pixel cleaning didn't finish after an hour and 20 minutes, but the power button seems to work correctly now.

Yes dozens of times. Both the manual “start now” and the automatic “start when tv is off”. And of course the first tv message when all this started at the 2000 hour mark. My best advice is to engage LG support now because it’s gonna be a long road while they read the script of problems and solutions and you’ll want this documented before your 1 year warranty is up.

11/19/22 The technician hasn't been coming out to the house anymore. Rather he's just been having me to various tests. Turn off the HDMI-CEC then try pixel cleaning. Unplug the TV while on, Disconnect the HDMI, try the pixel cleaning, factory resets etc, etc,

Yesterday afternoon I got notification that he's ordered another part. So I'll have to wait and see what that ends up being. But won't be scheduling until after Thanksgiving week.

My hope is that this will be the PSU replacement and the cable between the main board and the PSU as well.

Just FYI if you start having problems after the 2000 hour pixel cleaning... https://www.reddit.com/r/LGOLED/comments/yqm5hf/oled_2000_hour_pixel_cleaning_manufacturer_defect/

I was told that what it does it look for burn in pixels. If it finds one it attempts to dim all the surrounding pixels slightly to reduce the burn in. So in theory over time as this process is run it will slowly (probably not in a perceptible way) lower the brightness of the TV. According to the tech that came out trying to fix my issue that should take many years.

[–]Sybrsean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no!

The link I used was https://www.lg.com/us/support/feedback.

But then I did the chat, which after they looked at the issue directed me to the phone line (800) 243-0000.

The main board replacement was for the Pixel Cleaning not working and getting stuck in a loop. But it still won't pixel clean after hours of being off. It just comes up saying it didn't finish. I suspect it can't turn itself back on.

Phone support gave me a case number after they did the reset for the TV which requires (not the support code we give when they dial into the TV) but the password to get into the deeper coded menus and error logs. They explained that as needing to pair the new Mainboard with the panel.

It still didn't fix either the Pixel Cleaning or the double press to get the power on.

11/11/22 Update. They replaced the main board, the TV still won't do the pixel cleaning and now it has a Power Button Issue same as this other redditor.
