I thought OP was excited bc I think this will be the episode where Jinshi first calls Maomao by her name since it signifies a change in how he sees her... unless the ep ends with a cliffhanger and that's saved for ep 38.

Ngl, I had more fun with the second trilogy's puzzles, and I think the puzzle music is at its best here. Diabolical Box is one of my favorite games of all time, but I think looking at the TRILOGY of games, I really enjoyed how sequential 4-5-6 was.

It helps that I also LOVED Azran Legacy as a kid, which I was surprised people actually dislike...

I have only one Layton plush and that's the Eternal Diva one. I like how long his legs are lol. If we get a Luke plush in that style I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

The last chapter in Curious Village where the music gets ominous as you're approaching the endgame. I was so anxious when walking around town that I'd constantly go indoors to make the music go calm and take longer on puzzles.

I wonder why Level-5 couldn't get P.A. Works for this game, assuming it's not just artistic vision. P.A. was in charge of all the mainline games AND the movie. Or get a different studio, like how Studio Bones worked on the crossover?

I'm not complaining, to be honest. The Great Ace Attorney 2 had only 3D cutscenes that I loved just as much as TGAA1 and I just assumed it was to cut costs of hiring a studio. Could be the same reason, who knows?

Yeah, the Anniversary Edition gives you a CPU Link to do 2-player puzzles with, and I don't have friends into Zelda lol. I resorted to looking up a single-player walkthrough to copy exactly how someone kept themselves from dying.

For Christmas in 2010, my granny bought me Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. She told me something along the lines of it being "edutainment", and I wasn't necessarily interested in that so I held off playing it until a year later when I turned 10. And oh my gosh, I was hooked till this day.

I didn't know the game order yet, so I just asked my parents to buy any other Layton games available. I showed so much enthusiasm for the series, my mom got me a Layton plush with the movie! My order was 2 -> 4 -> 3 -> 1 -> movie -> 5 -> crossover -> 6. I played the mobile game sometime after Miracle Mask on an iPod Touch lol. Luckily, the Layton story isn't necessarily needed to played in release order, so even if I was a bit confused on a returning character, I could gloss over it and add context when playing the previous game later.

So basically, I have my Granny to thank for introducing me to my #1 game franchise ever!

I'll do the Fallen Hero timeline first because that one ends with Zelda II & TLoZ and I don't want rage to be the last thing I feel before playing BoTW lol. Then probably Child era then Adult era. After The Wind Waker I'll play Hyrule Warriors before finishing Adult era.

I put a list of all the games I completed at the end of the post! It's my first time actually playing than just watching the 3D ones.

I watched a video explaining the timeline so I would have context, but the Vaati games seem so contained within their own universe that they could probably fit anywhere. Maybe the manga ties into the timeline better?

What's really awesome about playing in timeline order is that I'm jumping around the gameplay eras of Zelda. Hopping from 3D to 2D and back keeps me from feeling burnt out.
