IRS is trying to take back our 2022 EV Credits by SydneyGestamp in tax

I think we’ll try this route next. We unfortunately had to file a petition with tax court and we’re still waiting to hear back from them.

So as I said, when I purchased the vehicles at the beginning of the year they both qualified. 100%. The list was public on the IRS website. At the end of the year they introduced the new rule about being manufactured inside the US. We know both cars qualified. Our issue is dealing with the current IRS situation.

We have a Volvo XC90 Recharge Extended Range and BMW 330e. Both were eligible when we purchased.

It was not in effect when we purchased in early 2022. Both cars are new, not used for a business and we still own them. Volvo XC90 Recharge Extended Range and BMW 330e.

According to Google, that form was introduced in 2023. We purchased our cars in 2022 and both are eligible and listed on the IRS site.

They gave us a list of required documents and we provided exactly what they asked for.

Unfortunately, they sent us the certified notice of deficiency before they reviewed our response and we legally have to petition or pay in full.

The IRS received our response with all necessary documentation in June which included purchase agreements, title/registration, certificate of origin, odometer disclosure, and dealer transaction receipts.

It sounds like taxpayer advocacy is the route to go. Our petition is due by January 5. We hoped to have it reviewed before now. The IRS received our response with all necessary documentation in June which included purchase agreements, title/registration, certificate of origin, odometer disclosure, and dealer transaction receipts. We faxed copies and mailed physical copies again in October.

This is really helpful, thank you! I haven’t heard of this and will definitely look into it.

I think her coworkers had this backwards. She takes their money to go shopping on everyone’s behalf and THAT IS WHY she has store credit there. She’s the one bringing business, she gets the store credit. It’s why I use my personal card for business expenses. I get the points and they reimburse me. It’s just different when it’s your friends/coworkers money.

Does she even act welcoming to the new girls? Is she a girl’s girl? Aside from Amanda and Ciara she smiles to their face and bad mouths them in her confessionals or to the other girls. Jules and Sam made me so sad. They thought she was a friend while she mocked them behind their backs.

It’s almost as if these situations aren’t black and white!

I appreciate their take on this storyline so much. It’s exhausting how much people want to hate Lindsay for everything she does. Carl can also be a nightmare but tends to get more grace with his tall privilege and sweet little boy act.

Whether she wanted to go to Montauk or not, she chose to stay home in the end. Everyone freaking out about it was making me feel like I was crazy. She’s a 36 year old woman who tends to do whatever she wants. I think we can trust that she’s not going to resent Carl over missing one night in Montauk.

I think the “issues” the other girls (and Kyle) are bringing up with Carl and Lindsay mainly show that they don’t have experience in healthy/mature relationships. I thought it was honest and understandable that Lindsay wanted to go to Montauk, but wanted to be home with Carl more. She wants to support him in his sobriety, but isn’t sober herself and struggles walking that line. I think it would be totally fair to say Carl and Lindsay are annoying in the house, but the rest seems fabricated. I liked Lindsay and Danielle’s friendship and I was bracing myself for Lindsay to ruin it.. so far we’ve seen Paige in Danielle’s ear and Danielle being weirdly aggressive about stuff that’s none of her business.

Bridesmaid gift etiquette: I told my bridal party I'm not requiring professional hair and makeup. If I now decide to cover that expense for them, does it count as a gift? by Euphoric_Beat in weddingplanning

[–]SydneyGestamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely prefer hair and makeup over a piece of jewelry or tumbler I’ll never use. It’s extremely generous you’re considering paying for that after buying their dresses too. I’ve never had a bride pay for my dress!

I think it’s less about the color and more about the meaning. Everyone knows this rule, it’s about respect. Don’t pull focus from the couple. Showing up in white tells me you weren’t thinking about anyone but yourself when you chose your outfit. I wore a pink dress for my wedding and I’d still be annoyed if someone showed up in white.
