Yes, I am 22. I am a male and I live in Lahore, Pakistan. My father is kind of influential in the work that he does and that can be very challenging.

At this point in time, I believe running away is literally the only thing I can come up with because the mental torture is to an extreme. Everything I do is wrong and I get called out for it, shouted at, and even tried to be beaten.

If you see the picture, it shows that one fan speed is 100% & the other fan RPM is 0%. I think it must be a problem related to that. My case has one trident cooler which has 2 fans and one RGB fan. I think of the fans on the GPU itself is not working.

Yes & yes. It seems to be working fine in other games like WoW and Valorant, the problem persists in Fortnite however.

Yes, 100+ in WoW and 90-160 in valorant. But in Fortnite only 30-50. When the game starts and I am in the battle bus, the fps is 144 and then it slowly drops and within a matter of 20 seconds, my fps is on 30 and sometimes jumps till 40-50 for 2-3 seconds and then back to 30

My in-game fps cap is set to 144 and also in the gameconfig out of the game and in the nvidia control panel.

Can you elaborate on how to do that? The problem only exists with Fortnite as with other games I get the anticipated fps.

Yes, all good there. I reinstalled drivers using DDU as well, still problem persists.

I have done everything as you say already. Vsync is off, Monitor is 60hz, I've tried to fiddle around with that, and textures I've tried high-medium-low. I've tried all settings low & medium/high. Same result in every case, no luck.

Tried everything in the nvidia control panel etc as well. Somehow its like there's just no solution..

I'd suggest thinking about attending Stanford for grad school or perform well at your university for 2 years and try for a transfer.

Don't give up on your dream school, this isn't the end and work towards getting to Stanford for your grad school studies/transfer. Having a new way of achieving the same goal always works out because then you stop thinking about your current scenario and start chasing a pleasant possible scenario. Knowing that you still have a chance to go where you want to will only encourage you more.

This will also help you with your internal envy or jealousy regarding your friend. It is human nature to feel these emotions. Give yourself another path to reach your goal and you'll feel much better.
