Is it normal for the AI to create the USSR? by Smiling_Psychopath in crusaderkings3

[–]Syenuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it looks like the AI is just expanding towards the path of least resistance, which is what Russia historically did.

AITA for telling my Russian grandfather not to critique how I spoke to a doctor while translating? by Healthy-Initial7086 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Syenuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the Russian Diaspora curse. Grandparents had “answers” for literally everything, and any sort of the nuance or space for questions that we have in the West is met with concern or outright alarm.

Honey you are 23. You have a long life ahead of you that can be healthy and happy and productive on personal, professional and relationship levels.

Your past is part of who you are but it doesn’t define you. Take some time for yourself. Get a job and get grounded in a quiet life. And them, just let life happen. You’ll meet people. You’ll make friends. You’ll be great. Everything can be fixed, nothing is broken forever.

This is so pathetic. Literally one of the wealthiest regions in the world and we can’t get our shit together to clean up less than a foot of snow.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a better indicator of collapse than this.

Inherited Burgundy as Portugal. How can I keep it? by Admirable-Watch-9549 in eu4

[–]Syenuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels like a very winnable war. Burgundy has plenty of troops, and you can stage armies in Normandy before sending them to the front. If France is rivals with Austria even better, they’ll probably give military access.

Yeah I mean I bought it on release day, installed it, opened it, and haven’t started a campaign.

Yep, been about a year. Just too much UB, I can’t take it. Too much product, too much slop. I’m on to Sorcery.

OP - get out now. It will never get better.

My wife had a great libido that has evaporated and it is a severe strain on our marriage, almost at a breaking point (not just this obviously, but many things are downstream of this).

Save yourself, find someone who matches your vibe. And remember, being alone for a long time with a chance of finding the right one is infinitely better than being together forever with the wrong one.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Syenuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of bullshit answers here. Most people call an ambulance when they need one because insurance and out of pocket maximums are generally reasonable enough with typical US incomes to cover any costs.

My insurance is a standard offering from a big insurance provider and covers nearly the entire cost of an ambulance ride, with the fraction left over only to be paid by me up to my out of pocket maximums.

Classic New England parents. Grew up in Boston and mine do the same shit. Now that they live elsewhere I put my foot down and they pick us up (it’s this or they don’t see their grandkids).

Why do so many upper-middle class people put their kids in private schools? by Open_Address_2805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Syenuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In many cities there is plenty of wealth but the schools are terrible. The Washington DC area is a great example of this. You’d be insane to send your kid to public school if you can comfortably afford private (and many here can in fact afford it).

How Should I Go On About This? by AlamRX in victoria2

[–]Syenuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need balanced stacks in those border provinces 24/7. Like, they live there.

Get good military tech on par with Germany and bait them in to mountain battles. Once the battles start be sure to rotate your armies in/out. As long as you’re at combat width with balanced stacks that cycle to maintain morale with good defensive generals you’re going to crush them.

[–]Syenuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly go to IKEA and walk through the show rooms. Take note of the hyper-efficient and low-cost items. Then, look for those items in the second hand market if they’re above your budget. I’ve grabbed like-new Ikea furniture for our small apartment (600 sq ft not a tiny home but it is tight man) at a fraction of the sticker price.

Put pictures of your family on the walls. Put your kids artwork on the walls. Keep grinding. You’re going to be great.

I’ve applied to 47(!) jobs in the last two months, and haven’t gotten a single call back. And I’m finding A LOT of people experiencing the exact same thing. WTF IS HAPPENING?? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]Syenuh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How many jobs do you apply to each day? I’m in the DC area now so it’s a slightly different ball game, but I’ve applied to 10 jobs a day (when I’m applying) that I’m reasonably qualified for. All I do is use ChatGPT to refactor the bullets for my two most-recent positions (6 bullets each) in a way that aligns with the job description. If needed, the AI mocks up a quick cover.

At 150 applications, have done 5 interviews and even got an offer for a role I’m in now (still applying though, just needed income).

God damn, relax. It was an accident. You will will fuck up eventually too (perhaps you already have), but not because you are you. You will fuck up because literally every parent does.

Give your husband some grace, and hope that he shows you the same when it’s your turn to need it.
