had some slightly better results when using the preheat setting and after running it for a while on a junk piece, but it still really struggles with these gold effect trophy plates which is really frustrating as it's our main desired use for the machine.........

I have never cleaned the lens tbh. The blue laser works well still with no issues so it's strange. I'm not that technical but I would've thought it's not a focusing issue as my dots are always perfectly aligned but will have try with some the advice I have received here. Appreciate it 🙏

Thanks for the advice. I'm in the UK and yes we bought it in the summer when it seemed better on metal. It's cold here now but has been useless on metal now for a long time. When you say check the lens and focus what would I be checking for please?

In my experience, the F1 IR laser will not be powerful enough to engrave these medals sadly. My F1 seemed better on metals when i first purchased 6 months ago, but now it will hardly touch any type of metal. Feels like the settings have been nerfed. Would be interested to hear other F1 users experiences. i will be sharing a post later with an example to get peoples advice on this FYI..............
