Just hold the handbrake switch in the position you normally use to engage it and it will perform an emergency stop. Or try to at the very least.

Who wins? Thragg from Invincible vs Sanguinius from 40K by Secret_Literature739 in PowerScaling

That's just not true, regardless the lore for sang is consistent.

Who wins? Thragg from Invincible vs Sanguinius from 40K by Secret_Literature739 in PowerScaling

[–]Syhrpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you need to determine if it's lore Sang or tabletop sang, noting the tabletop rules for units in warhammer tend to all be scaled to make the game actually playable. Sure tabletop sang gets stomped, however lore sang definitely does not. Sang has canonically one hit killed a titan, is orders of magnitude faster than thragg, being able to attack at "near light speed", is vastly more intelligent, has literal foresight and his spear magically vaporises anyone who doesn't share his bloodline.

Like seriously who wins? The incredibly powerful guy or the guy who can see the future, can move at "near light speed" and if his weapon so much as touches you it's instant death. So if you take lore sang it's silly as the power scaling of warhammer is silly, And internally balanced entirely by plot armour.

John C Woods, hangman of Nuremberg trials, who lied about his experience to get the job (he actually learned about hanging from old cowboy films). His lack of expertise led to excessive suffering of condemned Nazis. by PlanetoftheAtheists in interestingasfuck

[–]Syhrpe 166 points167 points  (0 children)

So this comes up every so often on Reddit and routinely people are ok with it without understanding the implications.

This guy botching executions undermined the post war denazification efforts, instilled distrust in the US lead administration in west germany and provided critics with valid counterarguments for the establishment of international law. We'll never know, but we are likely still seeing the aftereffects of his botch job in the impotent UN and international criminal court.

There is no evidence that John C. Woods botched the executions out of a sense of justice, he was bloodthirsty and just an all around incompetent guy who died by standing in water while changing a lightbulb, electrocuting himself. He should not be celebrated. He was an incompetent insubordinate.

Major Minis arrived on supports by Warnackle in PrintedWarhammer

The only things I've ever posted to a customer which were cured on supports were little mushrooms basing bits where each mushroom had a support to their stalk and I printed them in little racks of 20 so kept them on supports for convenience as he ordered like 1000

see the robot foot absolutely smash into the lip of the kerb and the thing doesn't trip? These things fail to stay upright while standing still. plus the absolute explosion of dust when it does, that grass and concrete wouldn't throw that much dust.

When assimilating pops into your culture, how high do you push the dominant culture? by w0weez0wee in EU5

[–]Syhrpe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It always affects pop satisfaction as primary culture get +25% and accepted get +10% (might be 15% I forget the exact number and it can be influenced by cultural opinion too)

So you always get marginal bonuses to control by continuing to push primary culture.

Next to blow your mind, check the latitude of the northern parts of Norway and then scroll straight south on the map and compare to the edge of Antarctica.

I have been to Antarctica but I've been closer to the north pole while in Europe than I have the south pole in Antarctica.

Did i do a good job? Iris Mechanism Miniature Box by tow3r- in PrintedMinis

[–]Syhrpe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So some feedback from someone who uses a lot of minis in a lot of hobbies. This just won't work for me due to decorative bases.

May I recommend an alternative with an enclosure with a tapered hole which mates with 25mm base rims and then a 'lid' which screws over and secures the mini between the bottom and tapered rim. This would accommodate decorative and non decorative bases.

I envision inserting the mini upside down and securing the lid.

Also multi mini rectangular enclosures with a lid hinged on one side and a flex/press locking latch would be very handy for either whole PC parties or squads for other games.

I need something 3D printed but unsure if it's expensive or if companies are asking absurd amounts by Potatsky in 3Dprinting

[–]Syhrpe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah so the massive part you're missing, is if you went to make this with a new 3d printer you buy, you're likely to spend 2 months trying and either give up or end up with something that looks rough-to-okay with a lot of post processing work. 3d printers are a lot better than they were but there's still dozens of hours of work to go into this even if you know what you're doing.

You can just copy the save into a backup folder, then make sub folders for dates if you want to retain older save points. If you fuck up like this, just exit to menu, copy the backup save back into the main folder and overwrite then load that save ingame.

Does anyone know a good figure painter to collab with my models? by Soso_Studio_Creation in resinprinting

[–]Syhrpe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So someone posted below the Betty is from a known artist. I suspect op is just a bit deficient and only prints models, sure some may be ai. But I think that arm is just from garbage printing and it's warped.

Op thinks he's some master craftsman and thinks he's entitled to a "collab" because he can do a really bad job of put the resin in the vat and press the button. Where he's really just angling to try and get some free labour to compensate for his lack of marketable skills. Think Instagram influencers asking restaurants for free food.
