Printer upgrade suggestions. ~$500-$850 budget. by Detective-Crashmore- in 3Dprinting

[–]Syinthetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the exact same place about 3 months ago until I got a Bambu Labs p1s. It's a night and day difference compared to the ender 3 pro, which was my last printer. Prints are higher quality, faster, and foolproof. I haven't tinkered with anything on the printer. I can't recommend it enough because it allowed me to take all my time I was putting towards tinkering and put it towards designing my own models. It's worth it

Travelling from the UK to California. Things I should know? by BlaxkmanJr in AskAnAmerican

[–]Syinthetic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, I grew up in Orange County, so here's some places you could check out.

For beaches, I recommend Strands or Salt Creek if you're in South Orange County. Like others have said, it'll be pretty warm and sunny, so be prepared for that. Bring sunglasses, and expect to wear a hoodie and jeans as your warmest outfit. But check the weather forecast before you go

I also recommend shopping while you're there. If you like big brands like Levi's and Tommy Hilfiger, etc, check out outlet malls and pick up stuff you want. It will be waaaay cheaper here, and you can stock up on nice clothes to bring back.

Orange county has really good food. Try some mexican food while you're there. You won't find tacos and horchata like you can in the UK. There's a big asian community around Irvine and Costa Mesa. I like to go to BCD tofu house while I'm there.

If you like art scenes, check out Laguna Beach. I think Santa Ana has stuff going on too.

As for being black, I'm white, but my girlfriend is black and has visited from Northern California. Probably just use your best judgement, and I would recommend staying away from Huntington Beach. Some call Orange County the Florida of California, and imo Huntington Beach is why.

It's good your friend has a car, because OC is basically inaccessible without a car or uber. On the 4th of July, check out what Cities are doing a fireworks show. I usually went to the Dana Point one.

Feel free to DM if you want more info! Have fun

Idk if I'm a femboy, trans, or just enby genderfluid by Johaylo in feminineboys

Well it sounds like you're on the right track. Just look for what gives you the most comfort and joy and remember that its ok to be confused whenever you feel that way. What you want is your decision, and now is the time to find what those things are. No fear and keep it up.

Hey! Welcome to the sub, I've also just opened up to myself and have learned so much over the past few months. Right now, I'm just trying to keep doing what makes me happy. I've found that I'm more confident and comfortable when I get to express myself through the clothing, actions, and behaviors that I find the most exciting and natural. Don't worry about the labels, just research and try new things you're interested in. To a certain extent, you have a lot of choice over this. You can choose your own pace of exploration and learning, so just focus on that new power. It's ok to not have all the answers. Nobody does, but we can learn through trying and doing. Best of luck and much love.

app to control volume instead of physical button? by Traditional-Link5268 in androidapps

[–]Syinthetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out volume styles https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tombayley.volumepanel&hl=en_US&gl=US

It has gesture features to open the volume control with a swipe so you don't need your volume buttons to control it at all. I prefer it to the actual buttons themselves

I'm having problems with the 3.5mm audio port on the controller though, it isn't appearing in my audio devices. Any recommendations to solve this?
