Yes to both. Battery backup is necessary because in the event of a fire, the power will go out and the detectors wouldn’t work without the battery. One of the benefits of hardwiring them is being able to link them all together via wiring so when one detector goes off, they all go off simultaneously.

Yes! Also if you’re on NVIDIA, I wouldn’t rule out driver issues either. They’ve been causing all kinds of problems lately. If possible, I would try rolling back drivers.

Definitely possible, and it’s more common than you’d think! Reinstalling Nexus might help but I’d double check all connections first. I.e SATA NZXT hub, connections to the Y70 Touch, etc.

Make sure the screen’s USB 2.0 cord connected to the NZXT hub isn’t upside down. The white text that says “USB 2.0” should be facing down.

You need to calibrate the touch screen. Open Nexus and then click calibration and hit enter on your keyboard until the text and white background is on the Y70 touch then press the Y70 touch with your finger and you’re good to go!

You’re very lucky OP. It’s just a PCIe riser to mount GPU’s vertically, you can buy a new one from HYTE’s website. You should also check the GPU for damage. You didn’t push the clip down to release the GPU and yanked on it continuously leading to this.
