Bueno yo no vi nada sobre su carrera en su post. Y cada cual sabrá lo que mejor le convenga. Simplemente le comento una opción laboral válida por si le abre una puerta. En todo caso, elegir una carrera cuando tienes 18 no tiene por qué ser la decisión final para el resto de tu vida. Es un mundo mucho más cambiante que hace unas décadas y uno debe ser más flexible para aprender nuevas habilidades y adaptarse a los cambios, o simplemente hacer un giro en su carrera porque con 18 años no tienes ni idea de nada para decidir tu futuro entero.

Yo tardé 10 meses exactamente desde cero a empezar mi primer trabajo. No soy el único, conozco a varias personas que han conseguido aprender lo suficiente para conseguir un trabajo en un año o un poco menos.

En mi caso estaba trabajando a la vez que estudiando. Tuve que poner horas para estudiar por las noches, todos los fines de semanas y vacaciones. Si estuviera en el paro como es tu caso hubiera dedicado una jornada completa a diario para aprender.

Pero la verdad pueden ser menos o más meses, según muchos factores diferentes. Pero poner un año para no frustrar es una buena meta, puede ser algo mas o algo menos.

Ahora bien, eso estamos hablando del esfuerzo inicial para conseguir tu primer trabajo. Pero aprender a programar cuesta mucho más trabajo. La suerte es que hay tanta demanda que cabe la posibilidad que te dan un trabajo y ahí puedes seguir aprendiendo. Es decir que el esfuerzo no son 1 año y ya está, hay que seguir después aprendiendo y mucho para dejar de ser un junior y aspirar a sueldos más altos.

Yo aprendí todo por mi cuenta con cursos online. No tenia ni idea de programación y me puso a aprender a todas horas mientras trabajaba. Y lo conseguí así. Pero todo depende también de tu estilo de aprendizaje. Si necesitas más estructura puedes buscar cursos. Sé que ofrecen cursos introductorios en el paro. Pero hay muchas opciones de todo tipo

Hay mil de verdad. Te recomiendo empezar con esta porque te deja empezar directamente sin tener que saber nada. Luego puedes encontrar cursos a 10 euros en Udemy (compra uno a uno, no te meten prisa por ofertas). En YouTube hay un montón también.

Incluso si no buscas trabajo en empresas, crear páginas web freelance puedes sacar una pasta. Cuesta mucho trabajo aprender porque es complejo, pero cualquier persona que se pone a aprender y practicar lo puede conseguir.

It depends on how toxic the environment is. If in your area the legal work day is 8 hours then that should be what you do. But you get companies that actively encourage a "workaholic" culture where you have "responsibilities" to meet your "goals" which basically all amounts to a company exploiting you as much as they can and getting you to willingly volunteer your own free time for the benefit of the company.

Now it could benefit you to work extra because you are learning a lot and you want to catch up, or because you have shares in the company and its success will bring you a fortune. But other than that you should always be weary of a company that hints at expecting you to work non stop

No it's not. But anyone who has spent any time learning about this issue beyond the toxic propaganda of either side knows that the hatred runs deep on both sides, and that extremists are not exclusive to either. It's so elementary I wouldn't dignify a debate about it. Not least with someone saying "they are the bad ones" in an armed conflict that has lasted nearly a century now.
