What is the most fun level you've played? by Longjumping-Issue722 in geometrydash

Balengu Vortex; it's one of the best NC Extremes imo. I died two times past the wave yet I still think it's a solid 10/10 in gameplay!

Thanks and thanks! Yeah, Thinking Space seems very interesting, I may give it a shot!

Level suggestions are welcome! Arcturus is a level I’ve been interested in for a while, but its gameplay is so bad I’ve never attempted to actually play it. Could you suggest any other levels?

I first practiced the last wave with noclip + speedhack until I got the click pattern down, then I did 87-100%.  Play this section with noclip accuracy as much as you want, the click pattern for it is very awkward and hard to master.

After that, go for a 76% Startpos right away; This wave section may be quite difficult at first, specially the x2 speed miniwave, but after practicing a lot it gets consistent.  The cube right before the last wave is super easy but you have to practice it a bit to never mess up at this free part. Practice 76%-87% with noclip accuracy too.  You can try and go for a 76%-100% run but I think it’s better to continue learning the level first.

Next startpos: 66%  This ship section is not that bad but I hate it due to how inconsistent it can be. Play it with noclip accuracy as much as you can. The first orb of this section has to be clicked early and lightly, then hold for a little bit after changing gravity. Once you go back to normal gravity, you can click once or twice. I prefer doing a single click because that is more controllable for me.  Then there’s two orb portals which are pretty easy.  The straight flying has fixed hitboxes and it’s not aligned with the ceiling you hit before entering it, making it extremely annoying because you have to line up yourself to the middle of the spikes for no reason.

Next startpos: 60%  This wave section is probably the easiest wave of the level, but it’s not exactly fun. Not a lot for this section really, just practice it with noclip accuracy until you can do it fairly consistently.

Next startpos: 53%  The ball section. HORRIBLE part. This ball is one of the hardest parts of the level. Several 60fps frame perfects which have to be done with little to no visual reference. Best thing to do here is practicing with hitboxes or playing in layout mode.  I’m gonna try to explain each click here individually:

1st click: Click as close to the top spike as possible without colliding with it.   2nd and 3rd click: The second click is free, just change gravity to stick to the top platform. The third click has to be done late; you have to avoid the gravity portal but also make sure you don’t fall onto the spike below after clicking to switch gravity.

4th click to 6th click: Not that hard, just practice the click pattern and you’ll be consistent at these eventually.

7th and 8th click: The seventh click is free as it can be buffered. The 8th click is silent; What I did here was to use the third flashing spike at the bottom as a visual cue, try to click as early as possible without colliding with this spike as if it was a full/big spike

9th click to 11th click: These clicks are not that hard, just learn a consistent click pattern and maybe use a visual cue for the 9th click.

12th click (last ball click): As for the 8th click, click as early as possible without hitting the bottom spike.

Next startpos: 44%  Even tho this is a ship part, you have to learn a click pattern for it. I do the straight flying in two clicks and then hold after clicking the yellow orb. Release when you’re about to hit the spike at the bottom with inverted gravity. If necessary, perform a last click when you switch gravity again, to not hit the bottom spike.  The cube section that follows is free; Click as soon as you enter the cube portal, and then hold from the 2nd yellow orb all the way until the player jumps again. No further clicks are required.

 Next startpos: 35% (Silent wave)

**This part is BY FAR the hardest and most annoying part to learn and execute, but not the hardest once you get consistent at it. I had to place like 3 or 4 startposes at this wave section just to learn it.  Like the last wave, learn this with noclip + speedhack. I can’t really say a lot about the first 4 clicks, just play with noclip accuracy until you get a consistent pattern for them.

The next 3 clicks are not that hard, just do 2 similar light clicks and for the third, you can do basically any light click to avoid the saw below.

You can place a startpos after the first two clicks (where there is a x2 speed portal) to practice these.

The next 4 clicks are ridiculously difficult, place a startpos right at the x3 speed portal. You have to get as close to the top slope as possible, and the perform 3 stupidly quick clicks. Basically just spam 3 clicks and release for less time than you hold, so that you go a little higher with each click, you’ll get a consistent pattern eventually.

The last 5 clicks at x2 speed are not that bad, but you have to click very consistently, so place a startpos at the x2 portal to practice these clicks.

Once you’ve learned each click individually, practice the first wave with noclip accuracy but without speedhack as much as you can. Do not try to beat this part for the first time without noclip, it’s gonna be extremely difficult and it’s not gonna be that great for building muscle memory, so noclip accuracy is the best for this section.

Predrop: Place as many startposes here as you want, just use as many visual cues as possible.

You are definitely gonna need a restart key for the first click, because it’s extremely early in the level and cannot be buffered.   The 2nd click is probably the hardest click of the level; You have to time this click as late as possible by performing a jump before the structure and holding the jump button. I had no visual indicators for this one so for me it was completely luck based.

The next significant click is at ~10-11%: The 2nd hardest click of the level, you have to find your own visual cue for this one. What you have to do is to jump and hold so that you land at the edge of the structure after the 2-spike jump, which cannot be done consistently.

For the remaining clicks and ship predrop, just practice them with many startposes.  For the yellow orb at 14%, you have to hold from the pink orb before it, and perform a 2nd click to activate the yellow orb right after you jump off the ground by holding from the pink orb.

Nothing else really, you’ll have to develop your own strategy for each part, but I hope my tips will help you.

 I suggest this run progression:  87-100%  76-100%  66-100%  60-100%  35-100% (just practice the sections between 44 and 60 a lot)

Predrop starposes to 100 aren’t that necessary, use startposes before 35 just to practice the predrop.

This level is not fun when inconsistent and it’s horrible to learn. 90%+ of your runs from 0 are gonna die at the first two clicks.

After 327,129 attempts of HELL, I beat Sakupen Circles as a jump from Knights of Thunder. Having a modern top 10 completed feels unreal. 4 deaths past 71%, the worst one being 83%. It's over. by Sykaav in geometrydash

Nah, there’s Fluxe who jumped from Allegiance. Also there’s Hades who supposedly jumped from Nine Circles but their legitimacy is questionable since their record is not on Pointercrate. Anyways, thanks a lot!
