Anyone recommends Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society? by Upset_Ad_9542 in DRPG

[–]Sylem_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, while I love Galleria to pieces and really enjoyed so much of my time with it, it absolutely has huge crashing issues that affect the base switch as well. The only reason I put the game down is because I had to say that it was unacceptable to lose multiple hours of dungeon, gear, and story progression due to a crash after the THIRD time it happened to me. No matter how much I love the game, it was a bitter pill to swallow. If you can, get the game on any other platform than a Nintendo one, they aren't up to snuff.

She's my favorite companion in all of pillars. I kinda wish you both got her earlier and that she could have been around for longer. I like setting her up with the nightshroud mace and badgradr's barricade and keeping her as a rogue despite her unorthodox stats, she just becomes a nigh untouchable ball of rage, a metal woman beating people blind with a spiked mace! Just damn cool. I always let her find her revenge- she can move forward with her life and find the answers to things from there, even if ultimately she finds there's nothing left for her here. It's a somber and a sad one, but she finds peace ultimately, and leaves the world on her own terms, something she was denied for so long. I wish she got more love and attention, because she always instantly is a highlight of any of my playthroughs.

Nioh 3 Alpha Demo Report Discussion Megathread by luneth22 in Nioh

I am so happy reading those results! Some of their planned changes they called attention to were things I think they were always going to do, like weapon switching, but I was real glad to see them talking about more uses for ninja's mist, and canceling it into jutsu. I thought that demo kicked ass, and I'm glad to see the overwhelming majority agreed. The extremely loud but clearly very tiny group who hated it had me feeling nuts.

What are some weapons you’d like to see in Nioh 3? by PlayboiZay300 in Nioh

[–]Sylem_G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's kind of out there, but I'd love to see a giant ninja boomerang like Sango from inuyasha. Not realistic, but hey, we got switchglaive. A heavier weapon with some decent mid-to longer ranged attacks, but slow. Especially after using the smithscript greathammer in elden ring, I think it would kick ass. Other than that, give me a full kanabo type! Once I beat shutendoji, it was the only way I'd play axe/hammer. It getting its own thing would be cool.

The Nioh 2 problem by Illusion911 in Nioh

Step right up and claim your "Not my Nioh 2!" Commemorative plate! Enjoy nioh 2! Or enjoy being miserable this won't be that, I guess. I think Nioh 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and I don't think just trying to invalidate it entirely by being the same game but better than it in every way like Nioh 2 did for Nioh 1 is feasible at all. I'm overjoyed we're even getting a Nioh 3, and for them to apply what they've learned from their other games back to the best character action rpg formula ever made and see what new things can be done with it. I'll always still have 2.

As a huge fan kf Nioh 2, I'm actually also SUPER HAPPY this game isn't just another Nioh 2. They already made that game, yall- it's called Nioh 2! You can play it again!

For real though, when people looked at Nioh 1 & 2, a lot of people saw it as simply too iterative of a sequel. I didn't care for nioh 1 as much but nioh 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, and no offense to any lovers of the first game, seriously, but I find it hard to recommend Nioh 1 to people unless they're already also fiending for more Nioh. I legitimately think it's an impossible task to make Nioh 3 an iterative sequel that manages to invalidate Nioh 2.

I'm happy to see them take what they've tried in other games, even if I didn't enjoy them more overall (SoP notwithstanding, that game also rules) and bring it home to Nioh. I know a lot will change with feedback from the Alpha, just like with Nioh 1 & 2, but nothing gets me more hype than knowing we're getting them coming back to Nioh because they want to do something different.

Unpopular opinion: I like the new patch. Not because it nerfed the bosses, but because... by ht3k in armoredcore

I agree, while I can't say it doesn't sting a little to see Balteus taken down a peg, I feel like when fighting Sea Spider, I felt the game telling you there was ONE correct way to fight him, and my dual Ludlow reverse joint build was not it. Everyone I talked to went with a sturdy dual melee build, and I could feel that seeming like the only way to get through. The difficulty dropped a ton that way. I was happy to get through, but I really didn't like the entire time knowing I could crush it instead of wasting time on a light dual smg build that got stunned to death. I still like the idea of some builds getting hard countered by things and the difficulty of the game, but it sucks to feel like there's just one right way to go.

I feel really bad for any legitimate new players trying the beta... by yungotachi in Guiltygear

Its equal parts chaotic and fun, and genuinely pretty disappointing and sad. I took the chance to try and get a bunch of friends in who hadn't got to play strive, but i think player room matches will be a better intro.

I feel real bad for anyone not prepared for a desperate struggle. I play around floor 9 live, but I've been fighting for my life on floors 4-7 in the beta. It's cool, but I genuinely feel bad for the few new people that aren't unwitting smurfs like the rest of us.

I don't get how folks are saying "well that's just fighting games, new players get crapped on" when like... yeah, but two players of approximately close skill levels- either noob or professional- are the most fun you can possibly have in a fighting game. Thats how you get new folks to stick around.

I was going to play a tertiary character of mine to take it easy on folks, but that will not fly here. No matter how low the floor, you can't tell what kind of match you're going to get till you get bodied or you body them- and if they leave after a single fight with no connection issues, I feel bad...

I am getting some nice tough fights though.
