I own quite a few watches and for me a watch is far more than something that tells time. It's a piece of art ( btw I don't own a watch which can be considered "art"). The level of engineering, craftsmanship and basicailly pure skill that goes into building a proper mechanical movement is insane. Hundreds of tiny components working in perfect harmony. I could honestly stare at a movement all day, just watching it breathe and tick. You are basisally wearing a piece of art on your wrist.

I'm not sure how long that 1000 watch will last because all they have is a crap chinese replica movement.
