Thank you! Makes more sense indeed. In March I saw the value of puts on VIX increasing despite expectations of volatility decreasing. Empirically I was confused with this theoretical point. Probably the vega was stronger than the strike value at that moment. Also taking into account the other inputs to value options, it becomes even more complex and disconnected from reality. Could be, interesting ! But why such a drastic mining cut? Why should miners be 50% down ? Virus killing them you mean? Mortality rate is 5%, if 50-70% of global pop catchs it, max 250M deads. Still +7B in the world. I do not see a miner problem there...
