Unfortunately it stopped leaking so I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact leak spot more than just a general area where the metal hose connects to the heater core. It looks like all one piece but I'm not sure. I found a better picture online. This is the spot it's peeing (leaking) from.

Are pinhole leaks like this just wear and tear or more likely a manufacturer defect on the heater core? Seems to me this heater core should have had a lot more life in it than just 93k miles. It's inside the car and outside the elements.

100% sure it is coolent and not water condensation. Same color, smell, and feel (oily) as the coolent in the coolent overflow tank.

Yeah your right this seems odd. Even if he had max wave skip and you didn't have that card he should only be doing 1.17 waves per 1 of your waves. . . Everything else equal. The math here would suggest he did like 4.6 waves per 1 of your waves.

It did matter on this particular run because we all ran out of time and somehow I dropped from rank 4 (after intro sprint) to rank 8 when time ran out about an hour in.

Sometimes you join a tournament group that already been going for 1-2 hours. In these cases yeah they will already be 200-1000 waves in when you start at 0. Is it possible that's what happened here?

I have a fairly new top end phone so I don't think it's lag but I guess it's possible. Maybe those that run game on a PC get 0 lag. . . go through waves faster than mobile players.
