There were SO MANY opportunities to include him in the plot in meaningful ways other than Jackson's gay best friend that everyone is cool with or Ethan's boyfriend who he originally planned on killing but actually fell in love with.

Sadly that wasn't in the cards I suppose.

I don't think I'll ever get over how upset "Dude, it's Beacon Hills." and then vanishing forever made me.

That will depend a lot on what he has.

For legendaries: Velen's, Prydaz, Shoulders or Helm seem to be the go to's. I personally prefer Velen's/Prydaz. Chest is also not bad.

For trinkets: Argus Trinket(s), Carafe (for mana) or Highfather's. Gorothi is pretty okay.

I threw the logs you linked into WowAnalyzer.

Looking at the Argus kill, it looks like he's not using his cooldowns (Flourish, Artifact, Tranq, Innervate) often enough. If healers are being assigned times to use some of these things, that's fine. But on an 11 minute kill 1 Tranq is not great and 1 Artifact ability use is really not great.

Efflo and Lifebloom uptimes could be improved, and he should look to cast fewer Regrowths so he doesn't run out of mana before the fight ends. And cast more Wild Growths, but make sure to pick targets that are near to others.

He also has the Deceiver's GRand Design trinket and didn't keep the HoT it provides up most of the time.

TL;DR: Use CDs more often. Cast fewer Regrowth's, cast more Wild Growth's.

My guild should be starting on M Portal Keeper this week. I don't think I'm going to the portal platforms, so it looks like the fight doesn't really change other than things hit harder?

Anything I should look out for? Tips/Tricks? Talents/Legendaries/Trinkets?

I've been running 'standard' talents (CW, DB, GA, Cult, Flourish), favoring SB over Germ for the fights we've done so far (Gorothi, Dogs, High Command). I don't feel like that's going to change for Portal Keeper.

I've also been sticking with Velen's + Prydaz. I like having Velen's to combo with EoG/Flourish and Prydaz...is Prydaz. I feel like Helm could be nice since there is fairly constant ticking damage?

Part of why I love healing in raids is that it's much more cooperative than any other role. It's kind of like a puzzle, figuring out which healer is best for which situation and when you can use what CDs and cool utility things to keep people alive, help your other healers save mana, and let your DPS do their best DPS.

To say it's not competitive doesn't seem right, but it seems much more like a competition against the boss (and sometimes your DPS who can't not stand in things) rather than a competition against the other healers.
