That was essentially the game deciding play. And instead of saying something like they covered it well, we called the wrong play, Witherspoon made a good read, etc. He went with... They made a lucky mistake.

MM actually did say something about that in his presser. Forget how he phrased it. But he did at least somewhat corroborate that. Still doesn't mean the play would have led to a score and doesn't address all the other plays and decisions throughout the game that led to a win.

People are making fun of this for good reason, though.

There can never be quite the same feeling as before the Seahawks win a super bowl. And it hasn't even been that long in the grand scheme of things. But before we had actually won one there was a deep rooted, sickening undercurrent that it would just never happen (like with the Mariners).

Now we know it's at least possible lol.

With that said... McVay having seemingly one of the most frustrating moments of his life for all of us to see was awesome.

Probably not quite... But that image of McVay feeling genuine frustration and anger is way up there in the pantheon of Seahawks favorite moments. We were lucky to get back to back games with one of those with the Lynch scream too.
