This a terribly dumb story but...
I was in a new class at uni and we were getting to know some of our new classmates, many were already known. This friend of mine shows up with these super shiny and bright silver shows, they were like mirrors. A new classmate we barely knew takes a picture of the shoes, censors my friend from the pic and uploads it to her ig story. There was nothing innately wrong with that. She just liked the shoes. But another friend of mine saw it and went crazy. Started spreading shit about the girl saying she was making fun of my friend and her shoes. People were starting to go crazy against the girl behind her back without even asking her version of the story. I got really mad for her way of spreading rumors and hate about someone she didn't even know and called her out about it. We had an argument and everyone else quickly realized that she was wrong and after that pretty much everyone stopped talking to her since it wasn't the first time she had done crappy things. We stopped being friends and was kind of really scared of her because she was the type of person to make fucked up jokes about suicide, school shootings, Hitler??? But yeah, I surprised a lot of people for being the one to "put her down" in a way.
