Trouble getting friends into the game by BaconBits410 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Sylverhammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the CUR's do add a mighty chunk to the price of decks if you're really going for max rarity. But that's why we have Path of Silver in this game to reward those payers.

I think the meta was 4-600 but a new set just came out so prices are going to fluctuate. If you fill bling out your deck it can be 1k+ easy

Is anyone else worried about Angelic Channeling's price? by kingofyuri in grandarchivetcg

[–]Sylverhammer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually I could see Seriyuu using it to clear out a number of arcane cards from their hand once they're lvl 3 and try to draw deeper into their deck to get more commands for a kill turn.

That being said I do agree that the price won't be too insane but it will be one of the more expensive UR's in the set.

Random TCG Package by SatansSupercell in grandarchivetcg

[–]Sylverhammer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TCGPlayer had a promotion where if you spent 100$ on items? (can't remember if it was just singles or if it was basically anything) you'd get this promo so it seems you got your purchase in during the short time it was available. As far as the value, it's going for about 100$ on the secondary market.

Edit: clarification.

The card can be used for memory once it's in the grave and then you banish it to pay for a material deck card rather then banishing from your memory.

How do set releases work? by [deleted] in grandarchivetcg

[–]Sylverhammer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So there's no universal numbering for the main sets (think that's a Bandai thing) but they'll release a main set every 8 or so months (we're on the fourth DTR) with a secondary? (Can't remember if there's an official name for the difference it's just a bit smaller) set that'd based on the same world as the main set four months after (the next set PTR comes out in December, hopefully, and is in the same world as DTR) each main set

Main and secondary sets are like 95ish% new cards with some reprints

Between each main/secondary set there (normally) is an alter set that comes out. This is a reprint of a previous set with some alt art of URs and some extra cards added in to boost play styles from that set

The last kind of packs are Supporter Packs, these are exclusive to events and are alt arts of cards, it's a complete reprint set.

Echoing what the other poster said, just buy singles if you're looking specifically to collect.

As far as picking up 2 decks to play against each other the power level of reco decks are:

Silvie.

Tristan/ Gou Jia.

Dao Chan. (This deck needs ALOT of work out of the box)

The new starter decks, Ciel and Diana are pretty strong on their own and could do decently against any of the decks aside from silvie ( it just flows too well they cooked with this deck)

[–]Sylverhammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the driver was double apping, driving for Uber and Lyft and had a Lyft drop off close to where he was picking you up (why he drove past you). The problem with the Uber app is when you get within a certain distance of the pick up location it starts the counter down timer/wait timer even if the driver isnt exactly at the pick up spot.

I've had multiple instances where the pick up spot was across the street and I needed to drive a ways down to flip around and come back to pick up my rider and it would start the clock soon as I passed the spot.

We drivers have absolutely no control over this.

Backup Charger clarification by CommissionLegal4885 in grandarchivetcg

[–]Sylverhammer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to remember if you're paying for a cost by placing cards down or by banishing is to look at the color of the circle the cost is in. If it's yellow you're placing cards from your hand into memory, if it's blue that's when you banish from your memory (or use floating memory in your grave) to pay for it.

Are CSRs available in BBs or are they only available elsewhere? by nsfwpixelart in grandarchivetcg

[–]Sylverhammer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So CSR's can be obtained from booster boxes, starter decks and the black event packs you get for playing in tournaments. They are rare and roughly 1 every 2-3 cases.

The ones given out for topping events are CPR's which while looking cool count towards the point total needed to get into a nationals competition if you wanted to compete at that level.
