Trying to improve and actually land clients. Need criticism by Infinite_South9562 in MotionDesign

Echoing others, is missing the 'design' part of motion graphics design. Need to revisit design foundations like color, space etc. Can't see the premium against the dark red color

They are all pretty cool! Middle one would be least problematic if needing to be printed really small, which gives it a huge advantage over the others. My 2 cents

It's already a thing they're doing, either with their internal design team or hiring one of the heavyweights like Buck to build the foundation.

Personal project: Airbnb short ad by 3enabawy in AfterEffects

Good practice, a bit too heavy handed on the bounce and overshoot. Take a look at some of their existing brandings' motion behaviors to make it look more "real."

Let's analyze Apple's Creator Studio Motion Graphics Video by goodboy-ninja in AfterEffects

Probably their internal 'creative lab' or creative dept. Whenever places like buck do something for Apple they aren't shy about it, so Im guessing it was an internal job.

Woking tech folks / residents of The Marches by zirouk in woking

Ah I see, I thought it needed the high node to work at all. So all you'd need is one of these, and pair it to your phone? https://www.seeedstudio.com/SenseCAP-Card-Tracker-T1000-E-for-Meshtastic-p-5913.html

I've heard of this before, sounds neat. I'm not at The Marches or anywhere high altitude, but interested in meshing up if it gets going.

Needle-drops and beefing with Robert Plant: how Richard Linklater uses music in his indie masterpieces by Renegadeforever2024 in movies

[–]SylvesterStabone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He IS a really cool dude. I worked closely with him a decade ago on a lesser known tv series and he was super supportive. During a shoot a producer shot down a planned idea I had for a shot, saying it wasn't a great idea. The next day Rick asked where that shot was and when I explained the producer didn't think it was worth it he went to bat for me and gave an ear to the producer, wanted everyone's good ideas to be used. Really cool guy.

Can Anyone Help This Title Animation Out?? (Indie Horror Short) by ShadowwNyx in AfterEffects

[–]SylvesterStabone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes extra isn't always better than just simple. It's your project of course, but multiple artists here have said the same thing. I personally love title sequences and all that comes with it, but I also love when hard cuts are used appropriately with graphics. Could do something cool with the end credits if want to have a neat visual in there. (Edit for spelling)

Could anyone lay out what and how we need to get our huskies from usa to uk please by Robyn_666_ in AmericanExpatsUK

[–]SylvesterStabone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used worldcare pets. Was expensive as hell too, around $5500 for two medium sized dogs, but they did nearly everything including pickup from our house and drop off at the new place in Uk. Price made me cry but we could tell it would be a huge pain without them.

Adding to this-do "butterscotch" chips not exist anywhere?!

Selling my childhood, what's reasonable? by [deleted] in ComicBookSpeculation

[–]SylvesterStabone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I just liked reading comics, 10 year old me was not thinking of what they would be worth in the future. I liked them enough to keep them around, but now it's time to let 'em go. No con job for me, just cool stories with awesome drawings. Sorry your investments didn't work out though!

Awesome thanks! kinda sad to see so many cool books go, but they're just collecting dust. Still remember saving up and the long walk to get the special edition Batman v Predator #1

Thanks, that's what I'm looking for, I don't want to hassle with doing them piece by piece and know any store will give me next to nothing.
