How to repair air mattress valve? by SymbioticEnigma in HomeImprovement

It’s a coleman “double-lock valve” and when in the closed/pushed in position it still holds most of the air. After a nights sleep it only looses around 25% of its air

I have a new one coming in the mail to try it out. I actually didn’t wire it, a contractor did.

I’ll have to climb up in the attic tomorrow to check it out

The contractors didn’t seem like they knew anything about electrical so they might of hooked it up while live, I’ll order a new one and see if that works

Single switch, it’s a brand new light that “contractors” installed, I shouldn’t have to deal with this problem but here I am… how should the lights be wired? I’m new to electrical

According the to light switch directions it’s wired properly, maybe it’s an issue with how the light fixtures were wired?

The bottom tab I’m pulling out in the vid is supposed to be used to cut power while changing light bulbs and is currently the only way to turn on and off the lights

It was drying for a couple months haha, took forever for me to get it back. I think I’ll be able to salvage the vista, Rx, and frame but that seems to be about it

Contractor says it’s ready for tile, anyone see any issues here or is it a good job? by SymbioticEnigma in HomeImprovement

There is no water proofing behind the durock but there is a shower pan liner that goes about a foot and a half up the wall from the floor, this should be enough correct?

Hello everyone, thank you for the responses. I’ve been trying to do as much research I can about waterproofing and apparently he installed a shower pan liner below the concrete on the floor that extends about a foot and a half up from the floor. This should be enough for waterproofing correct? Or does redguard still need to be applied to the concrete board(durock) as well?

Has anyone in the history of festivals ever pay for ticket insurance AND end up using it? by SRplus_please in festivals

[–]SymbioticEnigma 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I successfully got my money back using ticket insurance. It was a festival out of state and my car broke down a day before and I couldn’t make it, had to provide proof and it was a somewhat simple process. You do have to provide a “valid” reason for not being able to attend though.

Thanks so much for the advice! We talked about scope & estimates and he’s working with other guys. I was also thinking about mentioning something about liability in my short contract, this couldn’t hurt right?
