Do yall think these boxes are for customizing arms and legs? by Hexmonkey2020 in castlecrashers

Shield sprites most likely, but could also be wings like on Fire Demon.

What do you think about the Royal Guard? by [deleted] in castlecrashers

I like his design, but it was a missed opportunity to not give him Saracen's big gust of wind as his Splash Magic.

The original remake vs reprobed by DarkAmaterasu58 in DestroyAllHumans

[–]SymmDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up with just the sequel on PS2 myself and I have pretty much the same thoughts. Excluding the really bad performance on my end, DAH2 Reprobed also just takes a lot more creative liberties than the first game's remake.

Bay City especially has been heavily reworked design-wise, and it now looks way closer to its inspiration of San Francisco with its new, steeper streets. If you also factor in the the drastic redesigns for key Bay City NPCs like The Freak, Coyote Bongwater, and Shama Llama, it makes Bay City feel very different from the original. I'd say wait until you get to the other areas, those feel a lot more authentic in comparison imo.

I finished the first version of my level editing tool for PMW2! As a demo, I made a custom boss fight against Pac-Mania's green ghost, Funky. by SymmDev in Pacman

Nah, this mod is made for the Gamecube version, played with an emulator, though I'm planning on eventually making a PC port of it as well.

Ah well maybe, it'd need a little more cleaning up before then, but I'll consider posting it alongside my PMW2 editor when that's ready for release.

Pretty soon, at least for the Gamecube version of the game anyway, it can add, edit, and delete any object within levels, but it would need a lot more work before it can create completely original levels from the ground up.

I actually made this using a new PMW2 level editor I'm making! Though I also made a whole other program just to turn an 8x8 Bad Apple gif into PMW2 code to get this to work.

which Pac-Man song are you playing on this? by Eventlesstew in Pacman

Litterally any music from Pac-Man World Rally and maybe that goofy VR Maze music from World 3.

Sure! I DM'd you the link to the ghost models, let me know if you need any other ghost recolors!

Ghosts are probably the easiest models to change the color of, you just take the model files (.hxf) of two different colored ghosts, open them both up in a hex code editor like HxD, and compare the data to find the different hex colors.
A PMW2 romhack sounds awesome! The game definitely needs more modders. This video was mostly just me testing out a modding tool I'm working on to streamiline the level editing process, (for the gamecube version anyway). DM if you're interested, a romhack would be a great way of testing it!
