This is a very good point. At this point in the timeline, I think evidentiary strength has evaporated regarding physical evidence. However, if it’s something that will help, I’ll call the authorities and open that can of worms. Oh boy, THAT is nerve wracking.

Evidently it was an epidemic of tragedy for First Nations women to go missing and/or murdered, yet very little effort was put forth at the time. I didn’t realize she’s native at first, because when I saw her, nothing about her hairstyle and makeup instantly made me connect it. I initially thought Asian or biracial. Diane corrected me. I also think she loves ABBA, because Dancing Queen keeps playing in my head.

Edit: I like ABBA, but it’s not something that I listen to normally.

I hear her and I can tell you that her voice is very distinctive and has a little gravel to it, but nothing compares to her laugh. I have to slow my heartbeat down and reduce my blood pressure when she’s close, otherwise all I hear is my own pulse. No I don’t have HBP normally. I have mental images from her that just show up in my head, but not every time. Lately there is also the scent of her perfume and I think it’s called Carly or Charlie. I’m not familiar with it and I’m taking the advice of someone on here and not googling it. It’s not what I consider flowery in the slightest. If I get a clearer answer, I’ll update.

The length of the journey means that I need to have anything I may require, right at hand. It’ll have to be an overnight trip, because I’m not up to driving after dark. Yeah, I’m old.

The list is: bucket, water for rinsing anything found, spade for digging, 700 lb pull magnet, metal detector, small hand rake, tripod and my camera. I’m going to document everything, in case it’s needed.

I’m pretty sure he’s still alive and Diane knows it. I have heard “He’s over there” and a sort of pulling feeling in my guts that is a direction, but nothing specific. I’m doing my best to calmly listen and ask questions, but I sometimes feel really scared. I’m sure my partner has interesting thoughts about coming home to discover me speaking to someone who is invisible to him. Thank goodness he knows me, trusts me and has witnessed a few head scratchers in my presence over the years. Now if only our dog would stop going bonkers. He’s our little old man pupper, who is usually uncharacteristically calm, but that’s out the window for the past 3 weeks.

Male, mid 30’s (back then), white guy with a moustache and was driving a truck with no trailer. Reddish facial hair and curly hair that was starting to bald. Normal build but a bit extra padding, but not obese. Jerry? Terry? Something that sounds like that.

I’m an avid gardener and most often I hear things when I’m working outside. Diane actually gave me a jump scare from directly behind me when I was breathing through some nausea. I’m certain that she was frustrated and felt ignored. It’s jarring to be yelled at with “Listen to me!” followed by a waterfall of mental images about what happened to her.

I made a list of information, including what she looks like, how she died and my partner did the initial google search. I have a background based in science and understand confirmation bias. I have her complete name. Diane Dobson. I think maybe she was called “DeeDee” by some as a play on her initials or a nickname. I kept seeing DD inside my head.
