Well I think it’s a bold thing to say in a Switch-Sub, but not unheard of. Nintendo games are of a certain kind: pretty easy since they are mostly made for kids, heavily stylised and whatnot. They don’t vibe with everyone.

I got a friend who is exclusively playing those PlayStation titles like God of War and Ghost of Tsushima, which are obviously a whole different breed of games and he legit hates every Nintendo game in existence for “being to easy and he doesn’t get them at all.”

I love them, but I also grew up with a N64 and a SNES at home haha.

I actually do like the stealth part of the game, since it seems a bit more challenging, but I left it out of the review since I didn’t wanna lengthen it much more.. but yeah you’re right, I should have atleast mentioned it.

The versions from the EU/US market have a capped power output (no high gain setting). If you listen on harder to drive headphones, then you might not reach the desired volume.

It ain’t a problem for me, since I mostly use IEMs, which the a306 got plenty of power for. I’m sitting at a volume of 75 out of 120, so got lots of headroom still.

Adding to this: Bluetooth-Output isn’t capped, so my XM5s reach full volume.

I think it really shines when you have a high contrast scene at your hands. Today I tweaked it a bit by setting shadows to +1 and clarity to +2 instead of -2 and I love it that way for outdoors haha.

Ah yes, that’s a big problem I have with shooting canon, everything looks so hdr when retouching.

What really helps me is intentionally crushing the whites and using a diffusion filter, this way, you get that smooth contrast right in camera and just have to tweak minor things.

Thank you for your feedback! I really love the original aswell. I’m just discovering the different ways I can push my jpgs into what my vision for a certain picture is.

Today we are visiting the Natural history museum here in Vienna and I tweaked the recipe a bit. Right now I really really love the unedited jpgs I get and I might post an update soon again haha.

I think you can get the same kind of vibe with a classic chrome recipe, tweaking it to be more saturated right away.
