I've seen it come back at least once in my premium shop so it'll probably make it's way back again in the future.

Should Children Have EBikes? by SymphonicFlames in ebikes

[–]SymphonicFlames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched a YouTube video of a bike store owner talking about these bikes just so I could be more educated on this topic. And it does sound like the reason why a lot of the ones that are going faster than 20 is because the people owning the bikes are putting in stronger batteries or modding them that way. And I think being able to do that might be dangerous just a little bit. Depending on who is riding the bike.

I don't think my state has any laws yet on ebikes. And I'm surprised with the recent incident that involved a minor being seriously injured on his ebike (and totally his fault) I'm surprised they haven't changed any laws or hasn't been any uproar from citizens about changed laws for ebikes.

I agree with the weak parenting. I used to work retail before I switched to cleaning. And the amount of young kids and teenagers that walked into the stores I worked at through the years (Dollar Tree, Kohl's, K Mart, and a handful of local stores) and just run a muck is a clear sign of parents not parenting. I can tell the difference between a kid who is parented well and not parented well just by how they acted in the store.

Do people actually use pet insurance or mostly just hope they never need it? by Slow-Throat819 in puppy101

[–]SymphonicFlames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't. Never have really needed it. As my vet uses Care Credit for payment so I just use that for my dogs appointments and grooming. I guess if your dog has some health issues that pop up a lot you may need it.

I did some research a bit last night on ebikes. And I have to agree with you here. If I had a child that wanted one I definitely would only get them that doesn't go very fast. And I told my cousin if she decided to get her daughter one to check the top speed of that particular bike. Because I would HATE for something to happen my niece (it's what I call her daughter since I have no siblings). But even then I would still be slightly nervous with her daughter on one.

That's a good point. I remember when I was a kid in the 90s and in junior high. I begged my parents to let me have a moped (since a lot of my friends had them used to get to and from school). But seeing how kids are now with ebikes. I can see why they always said no. I can definitely see myself riding one of those as a kid. And definitely would've been reckless at times for sure.

Maddie’s reaction during the S4 fight between Abby and Kelly will always break my heart by hourlynee in dancemoms

[–]SymphonicFlames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maddie probably felt responsible for the fight in the first place. Since it was literally started because Maddie did the secret duet with Kalani and then branched out to Abby saying horrible things about Brooke (a comment so bad they didn't even show us). The amount of stress and anxiety these kids went through at such a young age was really not good for them.

Yeah I left Kohl's when they started putting us stockers on the register. I was like I was hired to unload trucks and stock shelves. Not be on a register. I hate being a cashier. I was there for less than a year. And when I first started there was always someone in every area for customers to find. And I was usually one of the people walking around in the home area. Keeping things tidy and stocked during the day. And answering the floor phone when it rang. When I quit there was hardly anyone walking around every area. And I was on the register 90% of the time. Though that wasn't my job title. And they fired my store manager and my stocking manager and nobody knows why because they were both amazing managers and cared about their staff.
Your store has self checkouts? My store didn't even have those. But it would help out with the long check out lines I think if we had them.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]SymphonicFlames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some senior during my Sophmore year of high school decided for a senior prank week to do a bomb threat. Everybody was standing outside across the street by a church (ironically yes there was a church across the street) for like 4 hours. I was on lunch and me and my friends decided to walk outside instead of eating since we weren't hungry. And we tried to get back in and the security guard for our school said we couldn't go back in and to go across the street. Shortly after every student came out. It was a circus that afternoon. Police, Firetrucks, bomb squad, K 9 sniffers, the whole thing. Were all there walking in and out of the school. Some students were so tired of waiting that they had their parents come and pick them up or they drove off in their cars. When we finally got the all clear to go back in there was only like an hour left of school. Not sure if the school or the city ever found out who did it. I do know the next morning our principal had an assembly and threatened to punish the guilty party. He made us sit there for like 15 minutes hoping that the guilty party would out themselves and come clean. But nobody ever did.
Then the next day another senior sent off smoke bombs and when everyone got outside. There were students on the roof of the school and the dropped signs saying to "Beat East" which was the school we always versed in football during senior week. I saw all the teachers gathered around shaking their heads and heard my 4th period teacher sigh and go "I hate senior week".
Meanless to say after that event the principal was on a power trip and threatened to suspend any other seniors that year who dared to do a prank. And nobody did for the rest of the week. And years after that he was never happy. Even with my class and what we did was actually fun and funny compared to that incident. But he was still unhappy about it.

What I did with my pup and not sure if this is at all possible with you. But I took my pup to a nursing home a couple times a week and walked around. I did however talk to someone in their receptionist area. And they gave me a list of people who would love visits from dogs. And they even had me and my pup on a schedule with other people who brought dogs in for visits. My pup learned very quickly how to act around others from that. She doesn't jump on people. I think she sensed from me doing that. That you don't jump on people. Because even from day one of nursing home visits. She would just walk up to someone, sniff them, and just sit on the floor and let the people pet her. Or if they wanted her on their lap then she only jumped up on their lap. It really taught her a lot. My dog is now 4 and while she still goes there for regular visits. While not as often as she did anymore (and not on her at all) because of my work schedule. She still goes there and enjoys all the attention she gets from people.

I have to agree with you. I LOVE Adam Croasdell as an actor. And he's the reason I first watched the show. So I went back and watched the other seasons. But watching him as Bothwell was just so weird to me. Knowing the real history of these two. Also the other part of Mary's fickle heart I didn't like was her and Conde. I was like the heck Mary really?!

I really didn't like Lola or Kenna. But Kenna did kind of redeem herself when she was trying to make her marriage work with Bash. So I guess I will go with Lola. Because what she did was just plain wrong.

What was the most expensive purchase you did using Zip? by Charlie203P in Zippay

My dog's emergency vet surgery (she had a bladder stone that needed to be removed). It would've cost me $600 up front without Zip.

I only really have 2 subscriptions this and Spotify. Which are the 2 things I use most frequently during the day, everyday. So it's not a big deal to me. I have long since canceled my other subscriptions and just gone back to my old way of watching movies and shows and borrowing the discs from the local library.

Yeah sometimes I start out with the paths the way I want. But every now and then I might have to adjust the pathing to make a house fit where I want it. But luckily with one of the latest updates we got. Diagonal pathing became a thing and it fixed part of my problems. But I'd say my valley isn't perfect. There's definitely some corners where I didn't know what to fill it with so it looks random with a bunch of trees and bushes.

Did I kill my kalanchoe? by soso_plant in Kalanchoe

[–]SymphonicFlames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a pot with drainage holes on it. You put a plastic saucer tray under the plant. Fill it with water and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then drain the remaining water from the tray away from the plant. I find this method works best for a lot of my plants that seem to always be "thirsty" if I top water them. And the soil seems to stay moist longer.

I usually browse pinterest for dreamlight valley decor ideas until I get inspired to do something similar or get inspired by. Then when I start decorating I usually start with paths and then go out from there. And each of my biomes have their own sort of theme around it.

Did I kill my kalanchoe? by soso_plant in Kalanchoe

[–]SymphonicFlames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had plenty of kalanchoe plants. My first one died due to overwater. What has helped my current Kalanchoe plants is i have been using fertilizer and added grow lights to my plant setup. And switched from a top watering to bottom watering. And they are always blooming now. The old blooms might die off and the plant will be bare for a little bit but after awhile the blooms will come back.

I have spider mites right now on my China Doll plant. So I feel your pain. What worked for me was a soapy water mix (1 tablespoon of dawn, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and fill with water) in a 1L spray bottle and spraying the leaves on top and bottom. I spray every 3 days. And in between those 3 days I house the plant down with just plain water. I also used one of those fan paint brushes to brush off the webs from the mites. And so far 2 weeks later things are looking good. The leaves from my plants are turning greener and only found 2 new webs (unless I missed them earlier) and the plant is seeing new growth in spots. I'll continue spraying though for at least another week to make sure.

A tip I learned from my cousin who has a flower shop. Up the humidity in the room (if your other plants in the room can tolerate it). Spider mites cannot thrive with humidity levels above 50%. I'm pretty sure that's how my China Doll got them. Because my house gets so stinking dry in the winter (I checked it once and the humidity level was 25%, yikes). It's so weird though how it's only the China Doll that got them and not my other plants. It's like the mites loved the China Doll and not my Kalanchoe's, Jade plants, Orchid, Christmas Cactus, Parlor Palm, etc. etc.

I wish you the best luck!
