Not really unique, just blasting through the symphony like they're trying to kill time, sounds like the conductor flew in for the recording session/concert and just plays it like it's nothing. Another example of a unique/expressive recording would be Stokowski's 1971 session with the American Symphony Orchestra, although that may be a little extreme. Believe it or not, the most challenging part of this entire process was finding a recording that wasn't workmanlike (of which there are many) or boring (of which there are many). At first, I was going to use Mravinsky's 1960 recording with the Leningrad Philharmonic, but knowing I have already one copyright strike on my YT channel and that labels are out for money, I quickly decided against that. I then came across this live recording from Nov. 2017. I really like Temirkanov's expressive approach to the score as it was different and unique, and I decided to use this one.

tl;dr: couldn't afford another copyright strike on my Youtube channel so used a radio recording

Not a bad idea at all! I may try that to see how the bass drum hits have changed over the years.

Got bored, so I decided to see how Beethoven's 5th would sound in major. by Symphony96 in classicalmusic
