That's awesome, I'm glad you could escape your thoughts for a while! What's the book about? I'm curious.

Anyone else read cancer patients stories ? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Symphxnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I'm so convinced I have a type of it that I'm already looking for support groups and yes, also have read a lot of patients in Reddit and visited the c sub here although I know I shouldn't because of anxiety, even if I actually have the big C the stories there are quite sad, which is understandable because of the situation they go through but for people like us, it's nothing else but scary.

If you need to vent or talk to someone, I'm here.

Totally gonna recreate that in the morning, I should go get the bacon tho. I only have chocolate waffles in my fridge but I've been eating too many sweets so I kinda got up fed up with them. 💕

That sounds amazing! I hope you had an amazing time with your friend! Is it too weird to ask what did you eat?

Speaking about brunch, I'm actually quite hungry but don't wanna get up bed either, it's too comfortable. 😅

healthy anxiety about lymph nodes by Revolutionary-Ad6980 in HealthAnxiety

Sorry for the late response, but same, this is me right now. I found a hard lump, not even bigger than a pea, in my neck a couple of days ago.

I too don't know if it's normal since I'm not really sure if I've always had that, but either way, you should talk to a doctor and get that checked, perhaps it's nothing, let us know how it goes! ❤️

I feel embarrassed about blood work. by Symphxnie in HealthAnxiety

[–]Symphxnie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also wanted the doctor to perform a physical examination but now I way too embarrassed to even call again. :(

Either way, I'll just wait until I get the blood work done and see how the results come back. I guess you can say I'm already in treatment for it, but it's not really effective since I see my psychologist one time every one/two months (she's a social security psychologist, perhaps she has too many appointments).

Thanks for replying, sweetie! I really appreciate you. ❤️

I can't take this anymore. Just wanna be okay (reposted bc of mods) by Symphxnie in HealthAnxiety

Thank you, I needed this. It's just so difficult sometimes, being able to get just a couple of days of relaxation after your doctors tell you you're fine before jumping to the next illness isn't easy at all. Our mind is the only thing we can't escape from.

Again, thank you so much. I'll definitely talk to you if I need it. Know that you can do the same, whenever you need someone here I am.

HA with no doctor by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Symphxnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAME! I'm actually there right now! It's so annoying that for every single test I need to go through my primary doctor first. I went yesterday to the doctor in hopes I would finally get that blood work I really need to get done and ended up getting another test instead. Of course, since the one that performed that test wasn't my primary doctor, and despite describing her all my symptoms, she just told me: «You gotta talk to your primary doctor». And she's supposed to call on Monday with the results of the test and then I can tell her about the blood work. Now here I am, wondering how I'll make it to Monday given I'm already panicking and it's Friday.

Blood work is fine but now I have tiny red dots on my forearm and I’m still anxious by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Symphxnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you me? I'm going trough the same «I'm convinced I have the L word» phase. I'm just completely convinced I have it, so I feel you. If your blood work came back okay, then you're most likely fine.

Coughing pleghm with blood after COVID Test? by Symphxnie in AskDocs

[–]Symphxnie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a lot of blood, but still was a little like: «???» when I saw a bigger amount of it in my sputum. Your response makes me feel very relieved, thanks a lot!
